When I go to https://www.ford.com/buy/my-vehicles.html, the info graphic at the top shows "In Progress" for "Place Order". Does this mean my order hasn't even finished being placed? I placed it back in early August of 2021... :-/. Trim: California R1 w/ eAWD

It's not a very intuitive system - your order has been placed but hasn't been scheduled for production.

I just gave a call to my dealer and they told me the reason my car was unscheduled the last couple of weeks is because of the chip hold of the advanced parking feature. They removed the advanced parking package and assured me that the car should be scheduled tomorrow with est. delivery date in June. Strongly suggest anyone who ordered in Oct double-check with their dealers confirming the advanced parking suite is REMOVED. My dealer didn't notify me at all before I called them : /.

FWIW - on 4/5 our Premium AWD Extended range order was changed to grabber blue color and to parking assist kit rather than parking assist - within a few days got a second message that our order was delayed and did not get scheduled last Thursday - as they say "Your mileage may vary",

Your dealer knows...
Based on my sample size of one, my belief is that someone at your dealer knows the exact status of your car at all times. In my case, my dealer called me in early March to inform me that our order had been "sent to the plant to be scheduled." Nothing happened the next week, no scheduling. and the next. Then the emails went out about the Active Park Assist. Dealer and I took that off, and the order was clear again.
Then, on April 7th, we got scheduled for 5/16/22. So my dealer knew well in advance that my order was moving, and they bothered to tell me.
That's my point -- someone at your dealer knows. Many don't bother to tell either the sales rep or the customer, but they know.
May take some digging, may be the Sales Manager, Order Manager, General Manager, but ask around. They know.
BTW, my dealer is a medium-sized, small-town Ohio dealer to whom "customer service" means something.

When I enquired about my order status a couple of weeks ago, I was told everything was "in order." I was not asked about the Active Park Assist whatsoever.

In the meantime, the Select AWD with tech package that I found (dealer ordered), has been built and currently shows as "in-transit." Dealer says it shows a mid-May delivery (taken with a spoonful of salt).

My dealer has never really contacted me, I've had to reach out and direct them. But, when it comes to Active Park assist, I did not hear anything from them nor did I reach out.

I never got any emails to delete anything. The only email I ever got was for a production date for the week of May 2nd. And thats it. 2022 Premium Awd loaded. Its been frustrating and crazy.

The emails are unreliable. Suggest Ford.com Contact Us chat. I normally despise chats, but the Ford one is quick and painless, much faster than phone help. They ask for order code (4 digit) and dealer code, but they will work with dealer name and city. "Unscheduled - clean" is the answer you want. No hold time, quick answers.

Just a quickie data point on unreliable emails: Today is a full week since our car got scheduled, and no email from Ford saying so. No VIN either. No worries - I used the VIN extractor tool and got it myself.

The sad thing is I still didn't get scheduled today. Now I am wondering whether my dealer REALLY knows anything about the scheduling.
