There's been no official statement that I'm aware of, but there's been speculation that driving the car triggers it to talk to the Ford back-end, if you're not doing scheduled updates... at least, I believe that's where the speculation has landed.

I appreciate the response... seems a bit odd since I'm "always" connected via wifi.

Updates to 2.5.3 yesterday. Oddly enough, Sync still doesn’t say that I have BlueCruise

Mine did the same thing. After a couple of drives it updated to show I have BC and the map expiration date.

Honestly I think driving it is the final trigger before any next update will post. Seems that way here. Seems they download but won’t actually update without a drive. At least not as quickly. Maybe they would at the automatic daily time I set but they sure weren’t early on. 2.5.1 updating now.

It’s another APIM/Sync update. Changes some settings labeling for BC.

But how?! Haha. First off, congratulations. Secondly, my dealer claimed it went smoothly and then my car was at sync 244. So clearly they didn’t do what they think they did. Any advice for those of us educating our dealers?

Got my first few blue cruise miles in tonight! I assume 2.5.3 will drop tomorrow sometime.

I went out for a test drive and BC works.

I've had 2.5.3 for 5 days (most of which the car was driven), and...still no Blue Cruise...
