Round 2. Walked out, said I would meet with GM tomorrow when he is in.

A funny thing happened - we have no hills in Florida so I never used the parking brake. The appraiser activated the brake and I DID NOT know how to deactivate it! This gave salesman enough time to chase me down - miraculously, GM showed up!

All items now stack, all BS charges removed. On to finance.

Round 3 - financing. OMG! They had to relearn Ford Options but forgot the Private Offer $750 for 2021-22 change and added another bogus $499 tag transfer fee. Got them to remove the fee, but the $750 would not apply to options plans for some reason. Called Ford, the specific deparent is gone home for holiday weekend. F and I guy made a note in system and will address next week. I will of course "write a strongly worded letter!" ?

In the end, we are done (6 hours) and takin' her home!

That sucks. My dealer experience was the complete opposite. Everything went extremely smooth.

Love the car! Worth the wait and even the dealer distress. Fun to drive in all drive modes. Initial charge at 80% gave me 240 miles - surprised. And I DO have laminate glass windows but NOT foot activated lift gate. And I am good with that. Worried about auto-opening under my low carport beam.

I completed my purchase yesterday after a frustrating Thursday. Walked in, asked for the GM. We went to his office and got on the phone with VOPC. Hammered out the sale in 30 minutes. I got the $750 rebate, my $500 deposit, $2K price protection, and $100 document fees.

Parked the car at work as I drop it off next Monday for PPF. What an experience, but I'm glad it's over and I am happy with the car.

My wife wanted me to get the Ford Charger. The reviews for them aren't all that great on this forum. My local dealer does not stock them so I had to order through Ford and it was delivered to my local dealer in about a week. I had an electrician install it. My daughter has a 2021 MME and she has used the charger and seems to work fine. I got a few estimates to install it and they were all over from $500.00 to $1500.

Any update on your ETA or info on price price protection? My dealer called and left a message he expects delivery 4-28. Not sure how he knows.

Yeah I am going to finance to get the $2500 and then pay it off. I want to know about this price guarantee so I might go and talk to the sales manager. Yeah I hope we are on the same train. I want to make an appointment to have someone install the charger in my house. I hope they have the chargers in stock at the dealer.

Any update on your ETA or price protection? My dealer call with a 4-28 expected delivery. not sure how be knows that far in advance.

Glad to see everything trending positively. Has anyone noticed that there is only one ‘Ford’ emblem on the car…. and you really have to like for it. I kind of like it.

Chat with Ford and ask for the rail car number once Palsapp shows it has been delivered to the next shipping yard.

Once you have the rail car number, you may be able to track progress depending on which RE it is on. Norfolk Southern has good tracking updates via automated phone system.
