It reminds me of what's happened in a shared laundry room of my apartment in the past. It is really bad to touch other's clothes, but on busy days, if someone does not take their clothes for 10 minutes after the cycle is done, everyone understands although someone else took them off somewhere.

One day, I found my clothes are in dirt although I set an alarm for the time. As they were still not completely dried, I suspected the previous person was impatient to wait until their turn. Well, it is really annoying but I don't call the police for such a happening. You are taking a risk when leaving the place.

I don’t have my Mach E yet, but when in traffic and I see someone do something that used to piss me off, I now ask myself, “Is there ever a situation where I would do that?”

Maybe they’re driving on the shoulder or sidewalk to get around a long line of cars. Maybe they cut me off and they’re driving way over the speed limit. On my worst day, would I do that? Yup. If I get a call that one of my kids are hurt, maybe they’re in the hospital, you better believe I’ll do everything I can to get their ASAP.

When I get my Mach E, is there ever a situation where I would unplug someone else’s car? Yes. Even if it wasn’t done charging? Yes.

So, when I see someone doing these things, rather than get angry I give them the benefit of the doubt and just hope everything is ok with them.

I guess this post does bring up a question in my mind related to charging etiquette... I have pretty much never run into an issue with charging spots being fully occupied when I have needed them, but have come close when staying at hotels for the night. Let's say that I drive a long distance and need maybe 8 hours or so to recharge my battery fully for a long drive the following morning, but the charge will complete at like 3:00 a.m. Would it be inconsiderate of me to not set an alarm and wake myself up at 3:00 to go move my car to free it up for someone else or would most rational EV drivers allow me to remain in that spot until I wake up around 7:00-8:00 and check out?

Well at least it was a Tesla and not a Plug in Hybrid.
Not much more to the story than the title. A Tesla drove up to my car in a parking garage, parked next to me, and unplugged a L2 charger from my car and plugged it in his.

Thankfully the car is fine. I have his license plate written down... is there any way I could look up this individual's information? Would like to give him a phone call and explain to him to never do that again.

we have a small county zoo with free volta chargers......there is a sign asking you to limit to 2 hours......the spaces are right in front of the zoo entrance and it gets quite crowded in the spring and summer......I have seen teslas parked and not even plugged in......and many have stayed after the suggested 2 hour limit ( i move my mme after 2 hours and the tesla is still there)......not much you can do.....

ps.....most of the free volta chargers do say a 2 hour limit in my experience

What, haven't tested this on my Mach-e GTPE, I just got it a week or so ago. So when the charger is inserted and you lock the vehicle, doesn't this lock the charger so it can't be removed? My 2021 Audi e-tron locks the charger so it can't be removed until you unlock the vehicle.

I'm a little confused about all the jumping on the OP for not following etiquette - none of you have any idea of his cars' SOC when it was unplugged. If his car was still charging then the OP was not in the wrong.

How about we get the facts before deciding to jump on the OP?

Who jumped?

Every post I read said “if you were fully charged….”

The important word is “if.”

How about the OP give us the facts before we defend or judge? All we have is a half story to go on.

After the last two years I usually expect the worst, lost a lot of faith in people doing the right thing. Appreciate this optimism though.
