Question re delivery date dealer gave me

I have a dealer with 2 cars in transit they are offering me. I have the window stickers for both which show Vin # & Order # - when I put those in the tracker https://shop.ford.com/vehicleordertracking
Both vehicles show the same:
Ordered on 2/5/22 & status is just Order Confirmed, nothing else yet.
They tell me both of these will be delivered to them & available end of May.
That sounds very hard to believe no?

Little change when I look closer at info on Ford website it does say in production - does that make the May delivery dates more viable?

For each of them, look at the date on the window sticker highlighted here. It should represent the date it was sent to the plant, which is about a week ahead of the actual production. Do not expect delivery until at least 5weeks after that date. 6-7 weeks seems average if all goes perfectly. Depending on production/shipping delays, 2+ months is possible.

Well, I ordered mine in July 2021 and I still don't have it. See screenshot. It says order confirmed 9/27/2021 but that is a lie - that is when my 2021 order got converted to a 2022. The actual order date was 7/2/2021. It was supposed to be shipped to us this week. Fingers crossed. I wouldn't trust anything the dealer says about when the cars would arrive - they have no control over that.

Yes, OP should read the 1/3 and 1/10 build week group chats from start to finish for worst case scenarios. Hopefully Ford is done with that crap.

Here's mine - from "In Production" to "Built" was ~2 months. Supposed to be getting on a train today...a month after being built. Assuming that happens, roughly three months from "In Production" to "In My Driveway", so colour me skeptical.

Same for me - Ordered July 5th, in Build Group 1/10, and I still don’t have a car. The vehicle arrived at the Port of Jacksonville April 14. It has sat at the Port for 8 days now. No truck drivers to get them to the dealers. There are several of us on the forum in this predicament, including a bunch of dealerships waiting on their inventory. Dealers want their cars as much as we do. They can’t sell cars and pay bills without inventory.

BTW - my dealer is 50 miles from the Port of Jacksonville

I got really lucky on transit. My car’s rail car got to KC and was headed West the next day. Once it arrived at its final stop, it sat in the rail yard for a week. I did read a report that my VIN traveled backward along the railway during day 4 of its rail yard stay, only to get a phone call a couple of days later that it was arriving at my dealer. I feel for the people whose cars got stuck in KC for a week, then had to sit in the destination yard for over a month.. ??
