Has anyone's frunk gotten stuck after the using PAAK? Normally the motor clicks twice than releases the frunk. This time it only clicked once and became stuck on the first latch. This happened two weeks ago, the service deportment had me press the frunk button on my phone, while two other people were simultaneously pulling the manual latch and pressing down on the hood. The frunk eventually opened, but I'm having the same issue again this week. Appointment is scheduled for Friday and I'm having no luck researching online.

Let us know what happens,. A great number of us do not have a Frunk release beyond the double pull lever in the cabin, so the cause might be of interest..

@Jimrpa, not too late to change your mind on remote Frunk release! ;)

What's the "Frunk Button"?

I checked FordPass and it does not exist.

Stop bragging about your fancy remote frunk release ??? it’s unseemly ???
Seriously, that sounds strange. I wonder why two pulls of the manual release would not definitively release it, even if the motor only released to the first catch.

Lol lol. The only thing I can find online similar is about tesla model 3 owners using crow bars to un latch theirs.

Damn, I just recently did a work-around so that I could have a frunk button in the FP app and now I hear it’s fritzing-out in the wild? Good thing that I mostly use the driver’s side mechanical pull to open the frunk. ???

Why did you need a work-around with a GT? Or was the work-around just enabling PaaK?

The FordPass app continually insisted that I needed to set up PaaK even though I have been leaving my key at home and using my phone to get into and drive my car since day 4. I have deleted, reset, and created thousands of PaaKs for my car without a change. PaaK functions just fine for me to drive, but none of the second row of in-app buttons were present. The root of the problem is that Ford has some subroutine somewhere in authentication that doesn’t like some of the perfectly legal characters in my email address (I have a hyphen in my email address). I worked around that by creating a different email address and attaching that to my car, logging int that account in the FP app, then creating PaaK with that throw-away account. I am told that they have identified the errant subroutine and fixed it. It has not cascaded down yet for me. ??‍♂?

So far the service department said that the issue will take 3-5 days to resolve. I want to know what their solution will be.
