So this just happened to me today. Currently have a 30 minute drive with my hood non stop beeping all cause I tried to put my groceries in front.
Did the dealer need to do any other repairs?
My advice is to get the frunk open, and then close it until you can get it scheduled at a dealership for necessary repairs. As long as you can get it back closed you can continue to drive it until the dealership has available parts. You will not be able to just close it back down; you have to open it all the way from the second latch to then be able to close it. If you are able to get something back behind the latch then you can likely trigger the mechanism to release it.
I just got my vehicle back from the repairs. They had to replace the latch system. The parts were backordered for an estimated 1-2 month timeframe from Ford, but they were able to get the parts a bit sooner from another dealership.
