But I meant the button integrated into Sync on my center screen - it just does nothing.

Wouldn't it be at least a 2 bit binary.The code for monitoring a binary device such as the frunk button is very complex. It’s going to take time to roll out such a gigantic update.

Yeah, some of us would kill for a Frunk button that does nothing! Back when we got our Mach-e’s we had no button at all, and happy we were! We had divided frunks that would hold nothing! And we were happy to have nothing! And manual releases! We had to pull not once but twice! Manually! Kids nowadays!*
There will be no button in the FordPass app if the app does not think you have set up PaaK. If you have set up PaaK, you are likely experiencing a known bug in Ford’s back-end systems: There is an issue where Ford’s servers will not recognize that you have set up PaaK (and therefore continually display the “Set up Phone as a Key” banner, hiding that second row of buttons). This issue presents itself when your email address contains any character that is not alphanumeric (i.e. not a-z or 0-9). My email address has a hyphen in it, so I cannot use the second row of buttons if logged into FordPass with my regular email address. I created a throw-away address and linked that to my car and use that in the FordPass app so that I could use that second row of buttons. Ford has supposedly identified the errant code and fixed it. I have not found that it has cascaded down to the servers my FordPass app is talking to. YMMV.
