Well, all fixed. Put new APIM in and took all of the updates. It took 3 trips before Ford would tell them to put new module in. I never got upset because I expected issues with a new EV from a manufacturer. I remember Tesla having many software issues it’s first couple of years. Could Ford have handled it better, absolutely!

After a total of 9 days over two appointments, I got the call that my MME was done. I picked it up last night. I was able to schedule OTA for every day of the week.
Full-screen maps that stay full screen after a key cycle.

New apps.

Prompts toggle. Blue Cruise is nowhere to be found on my Ford.com account and I couldn't get it to activate on a short hwy detour lastnight.

Calm screen activation is also working.
Sync now also shows 22034_PRODUCT Revision: 364.
It won’t activate if the road is not included in system. But it is turned on in your screen shot on Lane centering with hands-free.

I didn't get a new APIM but I can at least set a schedule and toggle automatic updates on/off in Settings. Is there a consensus here on how to actually get an update after the TSB fix is applied at the dealer? Is it best to leave automatic updates on or set a schedule for every day as posted above? I'm going to try to "force" it by driving around a bunch today since I'm impatient.

The tech wanted to get a new APIM for my car but he said ford is not approving it even after the engineer got involved said he shouldn’t do anything else until this new update

Just got car back. APIM replaced and blue cruise installed.

Sync revision 415
Ford PowerUp 2.1 currently, hopefully more updates soon.
Blue Cruise installed

I think I saw people mention it, but wanted to also say that the blue cruise update removes lane CENTERING - leaving the car with a pretty passive lane keep assist even at the highest setting. There's a press release eluding to this with blue cruise from January so the driver is able to drive collaboratively with the car vs. Fully passing controls.

I am not am early access customer, so really not sure if I'm actually able to take advantage of Blue Cruise until it is formally released to me or I have to wait for the additional powerups or both.

Per Field Engineer: major update in June/July for 2021s that would allow for two key fobs and additional fixes? Unsure if I'll hang my hat on that - unless it also means Frunk.......

I been to service more times than 3 considering the recall and many trips to get unstuck its been in the shop well over a 40 days combined and I am still stuck! I got back Monday for 22B08 if that doesn't fix the stuck issue I am going to insist they replace the APIM. My last car was a Volvo S90 I had it for 4 years before that I had a Audi A6 for about 4 years with those 2 car combined and 8 years of total ownership I spent less time in service then owning the Mach-e for 9 months. So yes its getting out of hand.

Wait say what? Is the field engineer saying that the car doesn't properly differentiate 2 fobs for earlier builds? That'd sure explain our seat/mirror settings are wrong about half the time despite fobs and profile settings being properly setup for my wife and I...

So what is the secret of getting your Ford dealership to install a new APIM and bypass the Ford saying not to do it?

My dealer told me Ford said to replace the module. I don’t know how it was actually presented, but it did get done.

I'd be willing to bet that if you're willing to pay for it out-of-pocket, they would replace it. I looked up the price and I think it was somewhere in the neighborhood of $900, plus labor.

So this information is from last week and from what I was told - unsure how factual. The APIM needed is on "backorder" and to get one, the field service engineer had to put in an "emergency order". I've also been working with corporate so unsure if that also helped us get an APIM almost immediately.

I believe there is certain criteria for them to escalate to replacing the APIM. 15 unsuccessful attempts and/or 20 days since the first reprogramming will lock up the APIM and necessitate replacing. My car was at 21 days allegedly so they needed to replace it to repair.

The only thing I would recommend is to continue to pressure the service team to get Field Service involved.
