Doesn't unbridled use more Regen on braking, especially if you used to have 1 pedal off. If most of your driving is slower that means more braking which would make sense.

Wait how is it that all three modes are equally as efficient? Unbridled accelerates immediately vs whisper slowly ramps up. The faster you accelerate / brake the quicker the battery gets used up no?

I love unbridled, just trying to understand how it could possibly be as efficient as the other modes or even more efficient
Acceleration and braking are the same in all modes, the difference is how much or how little the pedals get depressed to achieve the desired speed.

If you line up two identical cars, one in Whisper and the other in Unbridled and mash the accelerator to the floor at the same time, they both accelerate equally.

I have been reading on here and othet forums about how you all are having so much fun in Unbridled mode and how it gets more range. So I decided to test it out and you all were right! It is fun and does give more range. I normally drive in whisper mode with 1 pedal off. I get about 329-344 miles consistently at 100%. So I switched to Unbridled and drove how I normally do, if not faster because of how fast Unbridled accelerates. I had to make myself slow down a few times because I didn't realize I was speeding. I get more miles/kwh in Unbridled on my trip calculator than in whisper mode.

I drove to about 25% battery and charged. I saw it wasnt charging efficiently last night, because the time to 100% increased and the mileage decreased, so i stopped charging at 38%. I charged again this morning and I got 369 miles 100%.

I am an Unbridled fan.
I may test it in engage mode we will see.

I have a CR1 with around 1600 miles on it.

Edit: I am in Houston the weather has been warm since March so my driving conditions haven't changed.
It may get more range but my wife won't ride in the car if it's not in whisper mode. She says that unbridled makes the car jerky and not smooth.

Simply makes no sense you would get more range in unbridled mode because you’re bleeding more electrons. At least Ford says you’re doing such
If I were you I’d switch to whisper mode and try and trick the GOM into giving you a 600 -800 mile range
If that happens please take a screenshot and then I’ll be interested otherwise I think the GOM….it’s just got your karma right now
Beware of the deadly “balloon payments “ the GOM may extract. I have noted it acts like a mortgage that’s backed up on the rear end

No they don't. I can get to 60 faster in Unbridled without smashing the pedal as opposed to whisper the pedal will be on the floor. Unbridled accelerates faster. Which is the whole point of having different modes because they drive, accelerate and brake differently.

I tested whisper for two weeks and got 329-344 miles at 100%. That is the point of my post. I already compared the 2 modes. I was only driving in whisper but I kept reading people saying they get more miles/kwh in Unbridled. Which is true.

I think your talking about 2 different things

Yes, Unbridle will definitely respond more briskly to the pedal compared to a more linear response with Whisper, but

In my own testing 0 to 60 the difference is negligible to 60 (measured by OBD) if you floor it in any of the 3 modes (MME GT not PE)

The difference in driving is definitely noticeable do, mainly on initial acceleration and deceleration as well, on Whisper I can coast a-lot more than on unbridle (with 1P off on both) so I always thought Whisper would give me more range...

This is amazing to me. With our MME-GT, the highest range we've seen since it adjusted to our driving is 201mi @ 100% lol. But it is a GT and the launches never get old. Wife and I and kids love it. Our kids ask us to "zoom" all the time, obviously cant.

I recently have noticed a huge gain in whisper with one pedal on much more than with one pedal off which I figured was because of regen. Now I am going to have to try Unbridled and see what is possible...

Every one who has a Gt wouldn't trade it for increased miles/range lol. They love the thrill of driving it

You get to 60 faster in unbridled because of the throttle mapping. If both Unbridle and whisper slam the pedal to the floor at the same time they will hit 60. Whisper has more of the power given in the last little bit of of pushing the pedal down. Unbridle has it more front loaded.

They really do not affect anything at max power. Almost every car made that has different drive modes will behave exactly the same when the car is floored. It reads floor the car is max power. It is a safety issue as when you floor your car it is your way of telling the car you need max power. nothing else matters. I had cars in the past if I floored it the AC turned off to give that little extra power. It did that if I was eco, sport or normal.
Everything else under normal operations it is all about gear mapping and throtle mapping to power. The Mach E is it affects the weight of the steering, and throttle mapping and then when not in 1 pedal mode regen when letting off the pedal.

Try it for a week or two and report back.

I did whisper with 1 pedal on when I first got the car but my husband was driving it as well and he doesn't like 1 pedal and we didn't get as much range when we first got it so I really can't compare. I don't know if I will go back to whisper after driving in Unbridled.
