Comprehensive PowerUp (OTA) Poll (1.x-2.x)

Happy to report, I received 2.1.0 OTA last night ;-) first OTA update in MONTHS... vote updated!

Hopefully more regular updates are on their way.

NOTE: I did call and speak with a rep at the EA desk, and he mentioned that a BC update was not yet pending for my car, but I could go to the dealer and ask them to install the 'dreaded' CSP 21G01 to enable it... He said the 1-year free was an option as long as it is activated before September.

Oh my, it has to be activated before September? So if they keep dragging their feet with the rollout, they will just say "sorry, you missed the window"?

Interesting, checked my OTA status via the JSON on Fords site and it’s not reporting “null” for most OTA fields. Up until last week it had been reporting the successful 2.3.0 update from January still.

Maybe this is progress on the full roll out of Blue Cruise!

It seems to reset to 'null' after 90 days. My last OTA was 1/20/22 and last week is when the widget started reporting 'OTA status unavailable'.

Correct. The system this pulls from only pulls the last 90 days from another database that has everything

Seeing this thread pop up again, made me think, maybe, just maybe, the rollout was continuing.

Just like I get excited when my car forgets settings and charges to 100% or the alarm turns back on. Each time, just for a moment I think "maybe something is updating?"...

@Ford Motor Company really needs to step up their communication when it comes to important updates like missed deadlines, OTA updates and timed restrictions like this. Ford's own website doesn't have any mention of a delayed update or that the dealer can install it. It only says it's expected by the end of Q1 2022.

I like to think I am pretty informed when it comes to Ford's EVs and such but I had no idea that there is an install deadline of September in order to qualify for the 1-year free BC.

Nice of Ford for telling people that they can go get this update...oh wait, they didn't. They only advised dealers and I highly doubt they will be advising their customers.

They indicated the reason for the "one-year free" being offered is due to the technical difficulties of the OTA updates getting to the 'eligible' vehicles. Because of this, they are also compensating by having the dealer install the Customer Service Program (CSP) update 21G01. We all know that the dealer 'capability' can be less than favorable, but if you ask ahead of time about the necessary cables and talk with the tech, not the service writer, you may have better luck.

I provided my dealer with numerous links from this forum along with links to TSBs and CSBs and SSBs and suggestions to update their FDRS and the list of modules still out of date on my car, etc. They just said, "we'll talk to Ford and get back to you." They don't always want to hear from laypeople. Which is entirely frustrating.

Updated to 1.7.1, because I finally got the fix from the dealership to get out of 1.6.0 stuck OTA hell

Looks like my dealer figured it out! They got BlueCruise working today after a second attempt at 21G01. Changed my vote.

I just jumped from 2.4.4 to 2.6 today after 2+ weeks of no updates. What does this mean? I don't think I have Blue Cruise w/o getting all the updates in between right?

With some people stuck at early PowerUps, others in the early 2s, a few on the 2.4.2-2.5.2 escalator, it seems like we could use a single, comprehensive tracker. You are only allowed one answer. As your car is updated, please check back in to update your status. I'll update the poll with new PowerUps as we get them.

Hi @ChasingCoral. Thanks for this post. I have updated by OTA version. However, is it possible to edit this post to include OTA numbers beyond 2.5x? I received 2.60 sometime last week and this morning i received notification for successful update of Power-Up 2.7.1.
