That’s not overheating, that’s the vehicle intervening (by limiting power, limiting DCFC charging speeds) to make sure no overheating occurs.I remember a bunch of overheating. It's the battery design. Here are more details.

Overheating would be gunning it then having the vehicle shutdown because everything got too hot, or worse start smoking, or much worse, igniting.
