Argh. Thanks for the pointers, anyway. As I just posted to Twitter, at this point, I'm more and more glad that I bought a 12-volt battery desulfator in preparation for my Mach-E's arrival, since it will be at least 5 months since start of building (week of Jan. 10), and God only knows the state of the 12-volt after all this sitting. (And my blood pressure will not be helped if it turns out my car develops the HVBJB problem..........)

I wouldn't do a thing to the battery. It will be fine. But whatever floats your boat.

I like having just-in-case tools. In the interim, it can serve as a battery tender for the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid I will mostly be parking once my Mach-E arrives. {Jonathan}

Didn't think of the sitting around time in terms of days, just general concept. Wow. And add to your days the extra ones Jonathan had for the first 1/10 to March chip hold.
Ford needs to track your cars, and get them to you. I am frustrated for you both - and my frustration must be 1/100th of yours.

Yes, I really feel for Jonathan as his wait has been even more excruciating. At this point I don't have much faith in Ford getting these cars out of Newark hell any time soon. I am sure when we do finally take delivery, the Ford account on this forum will be right there to jump in an congratulate us though, lol.

I did. On another note, I have my 2021 in service for the recall of the roof, windshield, and the update because it's a job 1 from 2021. Roof and windshield are done but the computer crashed during the update and they can't figure it out. It's been in service for a week now.

On the lucky side of things, no sooner had I posted my difficulties with the hands free Blue Cruise when it magically updated to the latest version of maps OTA and so should work now - haven’t had a chance to try it yet.

I should note that way back when, you were right. I needed that BlueCruise update after all. So no update was done in the field or storage. On arrival, the car said it was up to date, but I have to say the update was seamless. Just as I was realizing it was needed, I got the notification that it was done. Hope your ‘21 recovers soon and your ‘22 is doing fine.

I’m still on vacation until Saturday. Got text from salesman car has FINALLY arrived at dealership. Scheduled Sunday pickup!!!

@JonathanEzor - I got am email this morning to "complete my purchase" (I ordered through the Ford site). On the shop.ford.com it says "Final Preparation". Guess this means it finally arrived at Hempstead Ford. Wonder if yours has as well?

I didn't order on the Ford site, so I only get some updates, and no, I haven't seen anything from Ford or Hempstead Ford today. Does yours show up in an inventory search on Ford.com, as it would if it is expected at the dealer?

I don't see it in inventory yet, but https://shop.ford.com/vehicleordertracking which just asks for the official 4 digit order number and VIN says this:

I figure it is going to take them a while to clean off all the seagull crap after sitting in Newark for so long. Hope they do it carefully... Lol.

On that page, mine still shows in semi-filled in "Shipped." We may not be on the same truck after all. {J}

Curious if United Road ever updated for you (to "Pending Pickup", and then "Delivered"? If not, maybe that's the reason for the delay- a different company is handling deliveries for your dealership and they are super backed up? It would also help @JonathanEzor know if he needs to continue checking United Road in the meantime.

Still says "inactive", so I assume it was trucked by someone else. I know there is Tribeca Automotive among a few others in the tri-statre ara. There are been 4 transport trucks sitting in a lot adjacent to my office parking lot in Westbury, NY. Don't remember the name of the company on the door of the trucks, but they have been there for a couple weeks. Every time I drive by them I had been saying to myself, maybe I should hop in one and go pick up my car and Jonathan's. Too bad I can't really drive a truck that big lol.
