That would make sense. I can’t see how anyone would agree to a contract if they won’t give them the car and you have to make payments for who knows how long.
I think the question is whether the dealer didn’t say anything until after they completed the contract. But no way should they be able to get away with this.

Perhaps the car market is at peak insanity that buyers are fine allowing a dealer to sell them a car yet not deliver the car to them.

As I stated before. I did not want the dealership to sell this car to someone else. Additionally I financed the car with a very low interest rate. Not closing the deal now could cost me thousands of interest over the course of the loan. And no I did not use Ford financing. I used a third party.

No I could have walked away but decided to go thru with the deal as previously stated.

I think this happened to some Porsche vehicles...No one could pick up/buy their cars. Not sure if they paid yet, but there was a sales hold too.

You’re also burning through warranty right now.

Not saying this will happen, but Ford has picked up the car payments in at least some similar cases. Might be less likely if not going through Ford financing though.

You shouldn't have to worry about the warranty as by law, that can't start until delivery.

We are literally going through a buyback process right now
Could you tell me how your buyback experience worked? I launched buyback process after two episodes of this module failure issue.

To be honest, I’m not sure. My husband has been handling everything with the buyback. I do know that he’s about to pull his hair out this morning with Samantha the Ford rep. She doesn’t get in a hurry about ANYTHING and with the way that the FED has been raising interest rates, he’s ticked off that we’ve lost the original 2.99 rate on our original loan and the best he’s got locked in for today is a 4.44. She’s wanting to sign paperwork next Tuesday (another week away) and in the meantime, the FED is looking at raising the rates again. Evidently she’s not aware of the recall and we’re trying to get this done before It gets to her desk.

It can't be done. Neither Samantha nor anyone else can make it get done, the recall has seen to that.

As to rates, you are locked into the rate when they ordered the replacement, if nothing else.

We ordered our 2021 in May 2021. Bought a cancelled order in July. Ordered car came in a month ago. We got the 4 year 0.9% financing that was in effect up until sometime in the Fall.

We are not financing through Ford. Our rate will expire before next Tuesday from USAA.

We are at the dealership now. ?? (Nobody has said anything about a recall)

After completing the purchase of my 22 MME preminm the dealer informed me that I could not take the car home. Ford just issued a recall that involves the HV battery contactors that force the dealer to not release the car until the recall is completed. So after waiting 36 weeks for the car I now have to wait for this issue to be resolved. Bummer.
Your car, that you paid for fully, is your private property. The dealer has absolutely no right to keep it against your will.

What's your rate with USAA? What trim are you getting and when was it ordered? Do you know how much the Ford Options Rebate is for your state?

right now it’s a 4.44 (our original car was 2.99) It’s a Premium extended range RWD. Ordered in February as a replacement for my 21 in a buyback. (What is this Ford Options Rebate that you speak of?)
