I just received an email from my dealer that says: “Your Mach-E has been given an allocation spot and is scheduled for production.
I do not have the exact start date yet.” I’ve never heard the term “allocation spot” before. Has anyone else gotten an update?

My dealer just called me after the email I sent. He was told earlier today that cars were being "picked up" (scheduled) based on allocation this week. He didn't have any "allocation" so he told the regional sales Manager to do anything she could to try to get my car picked up.
Later today he indeed did get a build date for my car, and he said these are the first retail customer build dates. My car is scheduled to be built according to him the week of 11/23.

He also said that his "mannequin" (FCTP car) has a scheduled build date of 11/2 and a delivery date of the week of 11/23. @trutolife27 @ChasingCoral @hybrid2bev tagging you on this intel to see how it fits with the projections and what you guys may know or be seeing.

Now to keep fingers crossed that it gets here before year end . . .

Did I just mess up? I called my dealer this morning to change my order from Premium RWD to Premium AWD. She said the order is "allocated", but she tries to change it, and it went thru. I see the order updated, and the order number is still the same. I didn't give much thought about the "allocated" thing, thinking that my car wouldn't be built until next year.

Does it mean it is already scheduled?

Hopefully, I didn't shoot myself in the foot.

If they are indeed starting First Edition production on 26 October as scheduled, then yours is scheduled for the 2nd week.

Is this for a First Edition?
If it is --- getting pretty late in the year for any thing but FE's getting delivered this year.

I just checked my Ford account for my FE --- no change or contact from my dealer.

We're getting closer. @jhalkias has a date that is similar to what I have heard about mine. My dealer's car is scheduled for the week of 11/18.

My dealer also reached out to me early this morning and said that my order has been assigned a build week of 11/30. Showed me a screen shot of him AM preview scheduling Report. He said as soon as it is scheduled I will get the VIN number and better tracking ability.
There has been no change on my order on Ford.com
His demo has not been assigned yet.

That was my question too. 11/23 build date for an FE sounds later than hoped. I would have expected (hoped) that a 10/26 start date for customer builds (if still correct) would have all the FEs completed before 11/23.

Coincidental that 11/23 is the expected OKTB date too. Almost wonder if that's really what the dealer was referring to with that date. OKTB can be a confusing concept to explain to customers, so I could see some dealers just saying that's the "build date" to avoid the explanation, because in terms of when it can leave the plant, it's effectively the same thing.

There is nothing to say that October 26th isn't the start date. No one is certain how many will be produced each week yet. If there are 1000/wk (FEs) that falls roughly in line with the timeline that some have received.

Could be, but that's 4 weeks. Still not sure if the 3000 number for FEs was for NA or total. Some thought it was just NA (maybe 1200), but perhaps it is 3000 NA. Either way though, thought the FEs would probably be done by Nov 15 or so.

Oh well, it's all guesswork at this point anyway. Still so many unknowns.

My FE build isn't scheduled until the following week.
