Good morning, thanks for the updates. If I understand this correctly the build date will be sent to the dealer and the dealer will either contact us or we will have to contact them. I have an FE ordered with an order number in the 10004100 range which I believe is fairly low so I assume they should have my build date soon. In fact I haven't seen anyone with a lower FE reservation number than mine.
There is a 505x reservation number in the spreadsheet that is probably earlier than yours but not by much (remember that they were issuing at least 4000, 5000, and 6000 numbers simultaneously that first night (maybe 7000 as well). You're within the first week of production either way and will probably sit around awaiting OKTB with the rest of the FEs.

busy week this week fellow E-pony fans. They have us working 12 hour days. Ford just has a lot going on right now and it is all good, just busy busy.

If you have the first edition on order your dealer should be getting the build date for it by Thursday of next week. I don't know how the Mache drop is calculated into that, but most of the time if they are not done with scheduling that Thursday they finish it before noon that Friday. As far as premium models go. They will be slowly sneaking in a few in of the first ones ordered here and there.

Trying to get all the first editions built with the first three weeks of build.

vins usually come 10 to 14 days after the build date put into the water flow.

This is all a new launch, a new way of selling, and ordering so some things are being tweaked a little.

There are some strings trying to get pulled to make up for the lost time and to make sure the demo cars are to the dealers by December 1st. I can't go into detail on it, but it is a good thing.

With oktb being the day it is it would be a miracle for people to have their mache before December 1st. I would say a birdy told me the second and third week of December might be an early Santa visit.

This is all without any more delays.
Awesome information, @trutolife27. It sounds like your sources are confirming my latest guesstimates, more or less. Now we'll have to see if the plant can meet management desires.

One surprising number in the most recent update was the hearing there's still 12,000 left to sell?? That seems in conflict with the other info.
It's possible that LG Chem committed to supply an additional 12,000 batteries for the 2021 run.

Wasn't the original plan to have all the batteries come from the plant in Poland? Now we hear that a significant amount (8k I think) are first coming from South Korea. If the Poland plant can still provide enough cells for the original estimate of 50k + the cells for first 8k from South Korea then we're not far off from already having all that we need.

Sounds like all the pre-productions, FCTP, and FEs will have Korean batteries with the switch happening at some point after that.

Mach E on order

I just received an email from my dealer that says: “Your Mach-E has been given an allocation spot and is scheduled for production.
I do not have the exact start date yet.” I’ve never heard the term “allocation spot” before. Has anyone else gotten an update?
When did you order your car? Is it a First Edition?

This is just sad and frustrating if my premium AWD extended range doesn't arrive this year with reservation number 10004162. I'm not excited about waiting an entire year to get my tax credits. I will seriously reconsider getting this vehicle if it's delayed to the new year.
Right there with ya except I’m even further down at 96xx. I can’t afford the car without the available state and federal credits/rebates. It’s looking more and more likely that I won’t get an MME and Ford will lose my business.

Yeah, I wondered about that too. Maybe not even all orders, since most of Europe can't even order yet (or maybe they started this month?). Seems like it has to be a combination of committed orders + reservations, in various stages of "commitment".
Nope. Here in UK we are STILL waiting to order

You could file a new W-4 Withholding Form with your employer after Jan 01 to stop most of your Fed Income Tax withholding until you have the $7,500 accumulated.

I’m no tax accountant so the simpler the better. It’s just unfortunate they won’t be able to get 5000 cars out the door by 2021.

More to it than that. There's the time value of money plus who knows if the new administration even keeps the federal credit around next year. Would suck to adjust withholding just to end up owing it back at the end of the year because they stopped the tax credit. Just not the ideal situation.

At the present time you have absolutely no idea whether that is true or not.

Sounds like all (NA) FEs should be built prior to the 11/23 OKTB, if those dates line up as suggested. Which should allow all (or nearly all) to be delivered by year-end if there's no hiccups. Although it'll be close.
Unless the schedule he gave me changes, my FE is not scheduled to be built UNTIL the week of 11/23 - not before. So I hope you are correct.

Just going by trutolife27's post that said "Trying to get all the first editions built with the first three weeks of build."

If correct, then I guess it depends on when they start. I think we're still going by the Oct 26 start date for customer units, although not sure if that might have changed. There's probably no "100% sure" in any of this though, so fingers crossed.

For mine, I just hope it shows up by Dec 31. Means $1500 savings to me (state tax credit).
