OTA 1.7.1 Stuck, anyone else have issue updating?

Today was the last day of a string of OTA updates, I am now on v2.8.3 and everything appears to be working properly. Blue Cruise, games and notes now available and all settings appear to be good.
Does this mean that my APIM, which the dealer stated was locked up and they had no idea how to proceed, is now good to go?

Correct. It looks like you have the same Sync version I do (421 if this software version is correct) and that would mean you should be BlueCrusin.

Your build date is 22 Feb 21, and you have a "Job 1 " car.

You are eligible to have CSP 21P22 done at Ford's expense......you know that right?

Cause there's a bunch of updates from that program that were never done.

Here's the reference...I'd call and make an appointment to get CSP 21P22 done.

Interesting. I'm waiting on my dealer to figure out how to apply CSP 21P22 - and figured (hoped) once they do that, it will fix my OTA update issue. Is it unrelated? Or is the update fix included in this?

Not related....if you are "stuck" and not getting OTAs...they could update everything on that CSP 21P22 list and give you the car back and you'd still be..."stuck".

Cause CSP 21P22 doesn't have anything to do with the APIM, GWM, or TCU.

Oh no, I was hoping you wouldn't say that. I'm back to being nearly hopeless OTAs will ever happen, but at least now I know to push on that as well. Thanks.

Oops. I have so many issues with the MME I confused the numbers. I already got 21P22 applied (at least they told me I did), I meant 22B08… that is supposed to fix the OTA issue once they figure it out (I hope).

22b08 was great. Got me from 2020 to 2022 in a week.

I just had 22B08 applied on Thursday at my dealership. They completed it in 3.5 hours. The process didn't lose any iof my settings. So I am officially "unstuck". I am not sure when any OTAs will start to come through again.

I went to my dealer on Thursday and had them apply 22B08. It took them 3.5 hours but I am now "unstuck". I have been waiting since last November for a solution to 1.7.1. I am not sure when I will begin to see any OTAs. But I am hopeful I will begin to see the BC updates begin to come down.

Update: I finally got my first OTA today 2.1.0 Power update. It is the first one since last November when 1.7.1 failed.

Fantastic! I hope so, too. It just seems odd to me that Ford hasn’t stepped up and provided more support to their dealerships that are clearly struggling with technology. My dealer has been clearly lost on how to deal with this so far and I’m concerned I may have to find another dealer just to get support for my vehicle. (Which could be costly for me as the next nearest dealer is hours away and would likely require additional transportation - and that’s assuming they would be any better at this.)

Sorry to hear about your travails. I had to switch dealers myself. My original dealer kept promising to do the update but wouldn't commit to a date. After 1 month I just gave up on them. Fortunately my current dealer was only 7 miles further away then my old dealer.

Update on my car.

She has been at the dealership all week. The Ford service tech was able to get it unstuck with the help of an amazing engineer who remoted into my car. They pushed all sorts of updates through and finally on Friday she did her very first OTA update. I’m now up to date with 2.8.3.

My blue cruise is supposed to be active, but still getting Front camera fault and no pre collision assist so my cruise control isn’t working which means no blue cruise for me yet. Dealership has replaced the camera, but that didn’t seem to fix it either. Next up is to reset my windshield with the thinking maybe when the recall was done, they set my windshield too far down and the camera is tilted too far up so it can’t see the road very well. ?‍?‍ They have a windshield on order to have just in case mine breaks when they pull it off again. She will go back in as soon as that windshield gets there.

Once the dealership got me unstuck, I started receiving updates but it took weeks for each one. I finally went to another dealership and had them complete all updates and get Blue Cruise working. It took a week because they couldn’t get BC to work. But eventually they did and all is good now.

I picked her up yesterday right before they closed. Was informed everything is working. I hopped in and first thing, the back up assist is not working. Everything else seems to be working so I left anyways. Hop on the interstate and my cruise control is working. YES! However my blue cruise shows unavailable and my regular cruise control is working, but lane centering is not. My blue line bubble is missing on my dash. Lane assist is working so it’s bouncing between the lines, but no lane centering. I checked all my settings and as far as I can tell everything is turned on.

She will go back in Tuesday

Might want to ask them to do these to satisfy that HVJB recall while you're in there.
