Hi

Anyone know if it is possible to turn off the signal/horn when closing/leaving the car when it is turned on?

I know in the Focus ST world people disable this feature with FORScan, but I don't think anyone has really put the time in to figure out a lot of these things on the Mach E yet.

I actually tried to hook FORScan up to my Mach E for the first time yesterday and the software would not even communicate with the car because it did not recognize the build number in the ECU. So it may be a while before we see many cool hacks for our cars.

Forscan works just fine. You’re doing something wrong, or using an incompatible OBD adapter.

My adapter works just fine on my ST. I suspect it may be because my car has the latest patches from Ford for the recent recall and FORScan needs an update. I'll update FORScan at some point and try again. I'm not really in a hurry because I have not really seen much in the way of cool stuff that can be done with it yet on the Mach E.

Your OBD adapter may also need updating.

Forscan mods I’ve done:
Disable double honk
Enable power meter in center IPC (non-GT)
Enable hands free power lift gate for MY22 (premium and up)

I’ve been communicating with the Forscan developers to find a mechanism to enable side mirror auto-tilt when in reverse.

I'll try updating my adapter! That may do the trick.

I don't care too much about the others, but the auto tilt in reverse would be cool! I've never owned a car with that feature, but I've really dug it when I've had the chance to use it. It makes backing into a spot between the lines so much easier!

Can you ask a dealer to do this for you if you don't have FORscan?

Like 5% chance. And that’s pushing it.

You’re better off finding a local forum member to help you.

I believe if you leave the key fob in the vehicle, the two honks will not sound. Then you lock the vehicle by touching the two bottom numbers on the B-Pillar key pad at the same time to lock the doors. When you return, use the key pad to unlock.

I just leave the door open.

@StrWhtMME's approach also works.
