Good Morning Mach E Forum,

I was wondering whether I in fact read, in the manual you are supposed to unfurl Ford's white adapter's charger cable? I was usually lazy and didn't unfurl but have gone back to unfurling upon reading. Does anyone know why, does it have to do w. current or safety or both?

For the Connected Charge Station or for the mobile charger?

The Connected Charge Station does say you're supposed to unroll the cable so parts of the cable aren't in contact with each other. Not sure about the mobile charger, but I do it anyway just to be safe.

You should always unfurl long runs of electrical cable when they are in use.

Thanks Mach-Lee this makes perfect sense. Thank you for your response!

Yes, tight loops of wire doesn't allow air circulation and it can cause the wires to overheat under load. The same warning is found on extension cords:

I think the mobile charger (the one you don’t need the electrician to have come to a residence, the one that plugs into a reg. outlet w. extension cord) I like the way you think, thank you for your response billy_at!
