Oh for sure, it's minor in the scheme of things. Just feels like something done in a vacuum without actually asking customers if they wanted holes left in their "drainable" frunk if they remove this.

I mean... now it's always "drainable" regardless of that plug at the bottom since it's got holes in the side.
Can't you put the screws back in to seal the holes?

Yes, but that would reduce the number of things to complain about. There's also the fact that the drain plug in the bottom opens automatically, so you can't make it a fish tank, punch bowl, or soup tureen anyway.

"on this special episode of Chopped, done with our friends at the Ford Motor Company, we're asking you to make all three horse-related courses in the frunk of a Mustang Mach-E! And, open your appetizer basket... inside is Meyer lemons, black licorice, coffee beans, and edible glue! 20 minutes on the clock - your time starts now!"

I mean yes, but then there's exposed fasteners. Exposed fasteners don't belong in a Fiesta, let alone a $58,300 car that I'm buying.
Wouldn't they have been exposed before? Once again, the car isn't even out yet, so this is still all speculation on our part of how they will look on the final product. All I have seen here is you complaining out this and that, it sounds like you don't like this car.

Not having a frunk divider would have meant no exposed fasteners.

I don't want a frunk divider.

Not with that attitude you can't! I'm going to try my shower drain stopper and see what happens.

I have discovered your disconnect with the MME, you want it exactly personalized to you compared to the other customers! I think Ford is marketing this for more of a mass appeal than what Jolteon from the Macheforum.com wishes.

Just some speculation about the frunk divider -- and maybe this has been discussed before -- but I bet it's there for some weird regulatory reason. For instance, with the divider in, it probably satisfies some legal requirement about not having enclosed spaces where someone could get trapped. Ford satisfied that requirement with two screws and some plastic, probably knowing full well that most customers would remove it after the sale.

Yes what you stated is the likely reason

I keep hearing from the Mach E Tour guides that the Frunk divider is only in the prototypes. We've heard from other sources the Frunk divider is just to keep from locking someone in the Frunk. Is there something they aren't telling us about the Mach E Tour guides? ? ?☠
