Still waiting for Blue Cruise OTA update

I've had by Mach-E since March 2021, a couple of months ago I received notice about getting the Blue Cruise - OTA and it would be free for a year. Still waiting. Seems like everyone else has gotten it, am I the only one waiting?

Likewise, I bought mine in April 2021, and still waiting for BC. I received 2.7.4 the end of June, and nothing since. I’ll only take it to a dealer as a last resort. Every time I’ve been to one has been a fiasco. I’m also waiting to find a dealer in central Ohio that‘s able to do the windshield/roof reseal recall.

Waiting here too since dealer screwed up the install (module failed.) They are going to attempt again, but I noticed this news today: Well I know I read in the news this morning that Ford was pushing out the BC update to 50k more vehicles, including games etc, but now I cannot locate the story ? Maybe I was dreaming?

You haven't received the Battery Energy Control Module Software Update? That's the only recall I have showing right now....

Oh, same thing my friend. I shuddered taking it in for the 10,000 mile service which is basically just a tire rotation. They just don’t know how to work on these vehicles.

I took mine in twice for a tire rotation, they said they did it both times. They didn't.

I could be to wrong, but mine is a job 1 and was told that you have to take it in to get the 21p22 update before you will get BC. I took mine to the dealer. I had to talk to like 3 people to finally get someone that could see I needed those updates with the recall. You can put your vin in https://www.etis.ford.com/vehicleRegSelector.do and see what needs to be installed. When I just do it though the regular Ford site it was only saying the recall. This showed I needed the 21p22 and the BC.

Did you hear that from the dealer or spoke to Ford directly? Mine also shows 21P22 and BC. Maybe that explains why no updates since June? I would rather go to the dentist than the dealer.

Yeah, I know!! I think I heard that from a member here, and the dealer didn't seem to know. I finally got someone that said, yeah I have to bring it in (service person at the dealer). I did get a loaner. It took a few days. But now my BC works, but in the app it says it failed, so I'm not sure why. It works, so who knows. When I click on update in the car it still says 2.7.4...I have no idea why. My last OTA was 6/16.

If OTA is in fact broken, then Ford really needs to provide another software update solution to customers aside from going to a local dealer. Preferably one that doesn't void the warranty in the process which if we did these ourselves would.

I had to wait for a specialist to call me back. The 21P22 software is a customer satisfaction program and you are entitled to that. Just call and get a specialist they can do it. It did take a while before I got someone that could actually see all the updates. The regular service people couldn't see anything.

I didn't get the impression it was a problem of seeing the updates. They simply are overbooked. When my car was in there for the 12v bat dying they messed up the rear sensor and scraped the bumper. It took them over a month long to reschedule just to get their prior messup fixed at a body shop. Back then in late June other dealerships in the area were quoting like at least several months before they would even look at my car. So quite honestly I'm not doubting they are pushed out to Dec. I'd probably have to drive it out of the local area just to find a dealer not overbooked.

Guys, if you want Hands Free, just take your car to the ship already. Sure they could screw something up, but so could the OTA update. If something does screw up I think you’d rather have it happen under Ford’s roof.
