The ER AWD Premium increase is even more at $8,475. That makes it almost as much as a GT.
I saw that, I have a ER AWD Premium on order right now, my msrp is $59k, at the new msrp, not sure why anyone would go premium over a GT.

So if I'm reading all of this correctly, there is absolutely no change for the Premium from 2022 to 2023, except that you have a new color you can choose, you can have the nite pony package, you pay more money, and get less of a tax credit.... is that about right?

My 22 Premium ER RWD would cost $8,475 more if it were a 23, and I would have zero improvements?

Sounds like all of us with 22's just gained a whole hell of a lot of equity in our vehicles
Same boat here! I [luckily] got same premium ER RWD in July for $8900 ADM. My exact car is now $8350 more ($8475 base - my $325 active assist credit + $200 destination increase). Plus I get full $7500 tax rebate but do not qualify for one next year. That was an insanely wise purchase using 20/20 hindsight!

Since the Premium pricing in incorrect on your link, here is the correct 2023 pricing:

So here in California land of 10% tax the delta (22 vs 23) for a Premium Ext Bat is $9400. That's a little hard to swallow....SMH.

To throw salt into Californian wounds, remember that Cali is one of the few states that when you trade in a vehicle you pay sales tax on the FULL sale price, not the difference in sale-trade. So we can't just "upgrade" our old Mach's for new ones like other states unless we want to pay that full tax burden.

But in California, there’s literally 1 dealer that will sell at MSRP and they only sell to local residents. But good luck to those looking for a Hyundai/Kia at MSRP.
Someone's extensive research found that both Morgan Hill and Walnut Creek do not charge ADM.

Also San Leandro Hyundai/KIA only added ADM by forcing Reviver plates and Carnamic protection (<$2k) when we bought in January. All the Sacramento and Stockton dealers were $6k ADM and up. No idea what San Leandro is doing now or for EV's but we love our Hyundai Venue purchased from them. Worth checking out!

Can anyone confirm if we still receive the tax credit if our 2022 order is.t converted to a 2023 and is delivered by the end of the year? I was a little worried since I thought once the new law was signed on August 16th those new rules took over. I ordered my vehicle in February and it's supposed to be built in October.

Unless Ford hits the phase out, I don't see why you wouldn't qualify for the existing credit provided you take delivery by 12/31.

The tax credit is based upon when the vehicle is purchased, not when you ordered. So, if you take delivery in 2023, it would depend on any of the new tax credit guidelines regarding battery components and assembly in order to receive any part of the credit.

No one is getting a MY23 in 2022. It's almost September now. Even if Ford started manufacturing next week, which they won't, there's no chance a buyer would have it this year.

I don't disagree, but I was responding to Aggie's question which was 'if my MY22 gets converted to a MY23 will I still get the tax credit if it is delivered by the end of the year'.

Understood, but answering the question isn't even helpful, since's almost zero chance anyone will be getting a MY23 this year. I would have simply stated this to be more clear:

Any MY22 deliveries taken by 12/31 will be eligible for the tax credit.
MY23 deliveries are highly unlikely for 2022.

My understanding was the 200,000 limit and the current rules for the tax credit are superseded by the new law that was signed on August 16th. Is that not correct? I'm fully expecting my vehicle by the end of the year but I'm worried that the new law will have screwed that up.

It's unclear to me if it's the option to add them to the Select or CA Rte1 that will have late availability or if the projector headlights themselves will have late availability so won't come on the Premium or GT for a while either.

So confused. I have a 2022 GTPE being built the week of 10/10. Will I have the LED Projector with LED Signature Lighting??? Don't know if this has been established or not...

If they started manufacturing them next week they would almost certainly have them by EoY. Mine was finished building on 8/20 and we will have it 9/15-9/21, and we are in Michigan so while not the longest delivery route, it's one of the longer ones than someone in Florida or Georgia or whatever. A 2023 could be built up to maybe mid-October and still arrive before EoY, maybe even later depending how bad things get on shipping with all the holidays at EoY which is the only reason I didn't say built by Mid-November.

I still agree, the number of 2023s that are likely to be built and delivered before EoY are going be so small that I wouldn't bet on it if I was relying on it to buy the car. But there is still some wiggle room.

No, that is not correct. The only party of the rules that immediately go into effect is the North America requirement per the IRS. The 200k cap is still in effect.

Vehicles Purchased and Delivered between August 16, 2022 and December 31, 2022
If you purchase and take possession of a qualifying electric vehicle after August 16, 2022 and before January 1, 2023, aside from the final assembly requirement, the rules in effect before the enactment of the Inflation Reduction Act for the EV credit apply (including those involving the manufacturing caps on vehicles sold).

That's my mistake - I meant scheduling, and not manufacturing, in my comment.
