“Private offer” anyone?

Just got a call from my dealer. The offer is price protection, but all of the features I ordered (Select w Comfort & Tech) are not available. So getting less for the same price. I specifically needed heated seats, no longer available on Selects for some reason. If I take it, it would only be to resell it. But then again, I already have exactly the car I ordered since I found one at a dealer that would sell it under Z Plan.

Might as well step up to a GT to maximize profits.

So they basically told you that you are stuck in a select? That stinks, we are in the same boat. Quite frankly we will not move forward if they don't let us change the order to keep the Comfort options by going to a premium. I'll let you know what my dealer says.

Just got a call that my 2022 select with C/T is converted to a 23 select for the same price, $50570, which is $325 less than the 2023 would cost (exactly the amount that was credited for the active park assist prep kit). He is unsure of whether they can lock my rate and ford options incentive that was previously locked in. He also does not think he can convert it to any other model with any sort of protection. It’s basically a take it or leave it deal. So really they aren’t offering anything to us for the loss of features in the ‘23 select or delay of being bumped even further out. So frustrating.

I haven't gotten the offer but i did ask about switching trims and PP and my sales rep said he would check but probably no. I figured as much given how hot this car is.

So the "private offer" of price protection essentially is a great deal for everyone, except for those have ordered a Select.

The select convert is pointless essentially. A '22 AWD with comfort/tech is 49k and a '23 is the same price but you get less features. You might as well just place an order yourself today especially if incentives don't carry over.

I'm hoping that this is just another instance of Ford failing at communication, and the salesperson being misinformed. If the "private offer" is really what was posted above, it's a joke.

They didn't deduct the cost of options they are removing? Did they clarify what comes with the 2023 Select trim level? Does it at least get a power liftgate?
