Stupid question on my part, but what site is this to check the order? I can only find links to the Ford tracking page that requires a VIN, which would only get assigned once the car is built.
If you placed the order online, you would have access to it at ford.com. If your dealer place the order on your behalf, you won’t have access to it.

Just got this text message from Ford.
Hello from Ford. Due to supply shortages, we cannot fulfill your order for a '22 Mustang Mach-E. However, we can update your order to a '23 & your MSRP will be adjusted at purchase to help offset the price increase. Your account at Ford.com will still show full '23 MSRP, but at purchase, your pricing will be adjusted. Please contact your dealer to proceed. We appreciate your understanding, and we can't wait to get you into your Ford electric vehicle.

Just got the same message. Ford is really messing this up, and the dealerships don’t know what is going on. I emailed my rep yesterday after my reservation online was converted to a 2023 Select. He sent me the latest build sheet, showing it was a 2022 and I had a priority code 01. He thought I would get a going into production notification soon. This roller coaster ride sucks!

Got the same text message as well. My dealer has no idea, no answers whatsoever, and Ford chat has no idea either. They keep saying they're showing a '22 order priority 01 unscheduled. This is beyond frustrating!

I'm guessing that only website placed orders got the text? Still absolutely zero communication on my dealer placed order.

That texts kind of reads as that we can select whatever trim we want and get '22 prices?

Decided to just suck it up and take the loss of the comfort package (of which I only really cared about the liftgate). Jumping to premium prices me out, and nothing else has as many of the features I care about as I can get at that price point. The Ioniq 5 was a viable alternative for me, but it looks like it's no longer eligible for the tax credit since it's not made in the US; and the Blazer won't be available at all for another year.

A text message doesn't really scream classy to me... I would expect something more formal like an email but clearly Ford doesn't think ahead well..

Not sure I understand your frustration, except with Ford’s communications.

Best case your 2022 model will get scheduled for production soon and you’ll get the car you ordered. Worst case, you’ll get a 2023 model at a price close to 2022 pricing. What’s not to like about that?!

Most select users are the ones getting screwed, losing features if they get converted to the same model, so the frustration in from there

If my 2022 Select converts to a 2023 I will lose the following:
Heated Seats
Heated Steering wheel
Power folding mirrors
Power liftgate
360 degree camera (2023 Selects come equipped, but only for 90 days. After 90 days, I would need to pay $1,900 to unlock Blue cruise and the camera)

You must have missed the last 16 pages talking about the lack of options on the new Select...

Maybe I’m just dense … but that sounds like a SR Premium. Have your dealer update the build to a SR Premium and you have everything and they price adjust accordingly? Might be a small amount more due to better headlights, but I believe that’s the only difference.

Alternatively, buy the select and add the BlueCruise/360 camera package and they will price adjust and you will be slightly less than the previous select price due to the missing seat/steering wheel/folding mirrors.

This isn’t a new concept from Ford; 21-22 Lightning orders went thru the same thing, 21-22 Mach-e converts when thru the same thing. I’m pretty sure everyone made out ok, and if the exact config isn’t offered that is a must have it sucks, but you can still get a car that’s immediately worth $3k-$12k more than what your paying…

Or you know... Ford can just deliver the car that was ordered 6 months ago. It is still unclear if the trim can be switched... the one thing that is really lacking is ... communication from Ford.
