So this afternoon, i get a notice that I've received a new PowerUp. With @generaltso and others talking about how the software updates are in FDRS for Job 1s to finally have remote frunk release and many Job 1 owners reporting that they now have remote frunk release, imagine my excitement! "Finally", I'm thinking to myself, "I'll have the happiness of remote frunk release after 18 months!" Wrong! It's an unnumbered Ford Power-Up titled "Ford Power-Up". The short title is "Ford BlueCruise delivery plus minor changes". I've had BlueCruise since the spring. I'm in EAP (but not VIP EAP). By the way, at the bottom, it reads "Priority Update 22-PU0727-VI-FXB".
Come on @Ford Motor Company , let's get remote frunk release out! You're pushing BlueCruise to people who have BlueCruise? By the way, yes, I'm happy to PM you my VIN and dealer (my dealer is great by the way!)

You should start a poll to see how many people would have preferred a frunk button over their maps expiring next week and BlueCruise not working. ?

We are rapidly approaching the 2 year anniversary of the earliest car’s build dates and this hasn’t happened yet. I’m personally no longer expecting a Frunk release update anytime, soon™ or otherwise. It would be nice if someone would simply say as much.

I've had mine a week, so not many occasions to open the frunk, but I do have the option to do so in the Fordpass app. The catch is that you can only do it when Bluetooth is connected, so you basically have to be right next to the car - at that point you might as well open the door and pull the lever or enter your pillar door code + 7-8.

Meh. I rather doubt it. But I’ve been known to be wrong. In this case, I’d be pleased to be wrong. We shall see.

I’ll be honest. I like when Jimrpa starts to fuss about the frunk release. He’s just expressing what many of us here are feeling too. I actually think I might be more excited hearing that he has the frunk release than when I finally have it —nah.

If it comes, we can transition to complaining about the lack of a fob button because the Frunk is still too annoying to open.

I do think it’s coming, but I understand your pessimism. If they hadn’t released the updates in FDRS I would be skeptical, but I think it will happen before the end of Fall at this point. If not I’ll be driving to Michigan and knocking on doors.
