110 miles each way, vast majority on I91 CT/MA

Unbridled, 1PD, 3.2 kwh heading north, 3.1 coming back. Dog in the car up, with AC on, no dog on the way back, mix of AC and windows down. Mostly 75 mph-ish speed.

Left with 79% charge, I think 220 on the GOM, EA charge at Chicopee from about 30% to 87%, got home at about 39%. Most of the trip the GOM worked out to about 290 miles at full charge.

No major complaints but did notice some grey bar prison trying to get around a dump truck dropping aspholt rocks and actively keeping people from passing him. That was annoying, but probably wouldn't have made a difference if I had full power available.

Data for them's what's collecting it

3.2 @ 75 is quite high. I drive at 70 and only get 3.1 - 3.2 with my SR RWD.

Went up to Boston Friday, home Sunday, then did the trip above again, this time in the pissing rain.

Boston up was 2 pieces - 121 miles of interstate highway, mostly ~75, 3.1 mi/kwh, 50 miles or i90/i95 around Boston, 3.2 mi/kwh. Return was one long shot 176 miles, 2.9 mi/kwh.

Tuesday's 110 each way runs got 2.8 and 2.7 - wonder if the rain and wind could have that big of an impact, or just one of those things.

One thing I've noticed is that once you're kind of settled in, 15-20 minutes into the drive, the GOM gets pretty steady - the projected range you'll have left when you arrive (GOM range less FordNav's distance to destination) stays pretty stable. The GOM range seems to be pretty consistent with my driving experience - I use 3 mi/kwh in my math and tend to round down, which usually is pretty close to the GOM reading. Having the remaining range number stay steady is comforting, at least in that you have a decent idea of the cushion you have available, should you need it.

I did a Phoenix to Flagstaff last weekend. 1400 ft elevation at the start 7000 at the end with a few ups and downs in between. 2.1 KW/Mi going up. 3.9Mi/Kw coming back. 150 miles each way. '22 Premium AWD.

For a 220m (110 each way), if you do this again, would you try the whole trip without any charging in between?

Is it at all worrying from a range perspective, from Phoenix up to Flagstaff?

Nope. I left my house @100% battery. Arrived at 39%. Kept speed to 79 MPH. I do have the extended range tho.

I think that's exactly what I would do. Your result is quite a bit better than ABRP calculates. ABRP says arrival would be at around 25%. Assuming you have the ER AWD.

Thanks!

The EA station near the walmart off I40 has 3 of 4 chargers working. Although one limited to 30KW (Maybe because of the free weekend) the others worked fine.

I don't think so- just a little too tight. If I get below about 50 miles of buffer I start to get antsy. I could do with less charging, 10 min instead of 30, but the Home Depot bathroom is a little walk away, so it's easy to kill time.

I would do 220 straight to a charger or destination with a charging plan.

ABRP is always way off, the Ford nav provides better predictions. My CR1 got 3.3 mile/kwh going Phoenix to Williams, via Flagstaff. I think I had 42-44% when I got to I-40 (Flagstaff) and ended up with 33% in Williams at the charger (183 miles).

This year I drove Phoenix to Carlsbad, CA and my first leg was 230 miles, no real elevation change, arrived with 24%. That is 3.4 mile/kwh at 75 mph most of the way.
