9/12/22 Build Week Chat

my car just switched to shipped and says delivery window of 9/16/-9/22 .... hahaha. I must have the new version which can fly! Im in Northern New Jersey right next to NYC!

The original delivery window, before it switched to shipped status, was 11/5-11/11 - i wonder what my real window will be!!

Mine just switched as well but first window for me is 11/03/22 - 11/09/22 for Idaho Falls which is only 3 hour north of Salt Lake City. I’ve seen some Utah order show early October delivery ?

Ask the dealership to provide a buyers order. It’s like a preview of the contract. Tell them you need the buyers order to shop for financing. Forces their hand early and let’s them know you are knowledgeable of the antics. Gives you a peek at all the numbers.

I also tell them I don’t have time when I’m picking up the vehicle, get the contract ready, let’s do an inspection, take a drive, toss me the keys.

same for me 9/13. modules are live and the car is showing up in FordPass but it seems to be stalled and not built. I'm so confused how some take 1 day and some take a week.

Just guessing but I could imagine that type of delay if something questionable came back during a quality control check.

Is that like the same thing as the "Preview Order" that they gave me when I ordered it? It also came with a "Worksheet" that I signed (both documents, actually) which just included the car@Z-Plan incl. D&D, and a $49.99 nitro fill (fine, I'll give them that one).

I plan to finance externally, unless they offer something really compelling, so I guess I can just give them this, or is the document you mention something else? I SMS messaged my salesperson and they said "I will just let you know whenever it gets here! That's the next step". The skeptical/cynical side of me doesn't like that answer.

Prem AWD ER red blk interior -ordered 12/7/21, scheduled 7/19/22, batch 8071 562/1350 built 9/13/22 (~40 weeks after order) has shipped today 9/16/22, It could pass through Laredo as soon as 9/20 and reach Kansas City vicinity around 9/25. From there it will CONVOY (by truck) ~1600 miles to "my" dealer. Or, it may come RAIL KC to SCal (UP or BNSF) to Ford Ramp CH27, Mira Loma Intermodal and then 40-mile truck trip to the dealer. Ford predicted that this 3,300 mile journey would take 25-32 days total.

No modules yet for me - 8156 1384/1441 - looks like I may have to defect to the 9/19 build week unless it gets sorted out in the next couple of days.

How many of you fine folks in the 8156 batch are still waiting for modules? I assume the 8071's are already completed?
