Hope today goes better than yesterday

I’m just here to vent this morning. Yesterday:
Ordered lunch for my service dept at dealership on Monday for Tuesday delivery. They worked really hard to figure out why my left headlight would not work consistently. After visit number 7, they figured it out with Ford engineers. Bad module? Modem? Something like that. Welp, Jersey Mikes delivered but they delivered to Honda instead of Ford service
I went to the local dump with a bag of garbage. Attendant:” I never thought I would see the day Ford made an electric mustang. I like that car but my only problem is battery disposal.” I just smiled and left.
Then, went to my patient’s home for a visit. Son in law says “Is that car all electric?” I reply yes it’s fully electric. He starts shaking his head. “That battery will be no good in the next 5-8 years.” I reply, no the battery will be fine. He replies “Mark my words, you will see.” I’m totally fed up by then say “Well electric is the future” then I get my car and leave.

Lastly, decided I wasn’t cooking last night. Stop by local diner and pulled up to the loading area for pickup. Couple sitting inside finishing dinner. Husband says “Hand me the keys.” I laugh shaking my head. They walk out as I’m walking out. Husband says “ That’s a pretty car but I don’t like car payments” Real smirky. I reply “Well, it’s good you are not my husband”
The wife laughs.
I’m hoping for a better day today.

You are correct. People never said to me, when I had ICE vehicles, that engine will be no good in 5-8 years. WTH?

Had to - the joke doesn't work if he said "Think of how stupid the median person is." Most people don't know what the difference is, anyway, proving his point. So many layers...

Battery comments are just proof of the general asshat nature of most people. Just have to have something negative to say, some bone to pick. Kind of like this comment...
