Darren Palmer had said earlier this summer that October was the targeted release date. We’re in the second half of October.

I think he meant the 3.5.x updates. New UI = A/C button on home screen. ?

Hopefully we get the real deal next year.

It works over WiFi without paying for the streaming service.

Thanks for the answer. so when you are at a charging station if no wifi is available then these will not work unless you have their streaming service or can the these apps use your phone as a wifi hot spot?

You can use your phone as a WiFi hotspot. Whether that's better than just watching the video on your phone is up to you.

My wife went into a store yesterday I don't normally like to shop. I sat in the car and watched funny Youtube videos. It was a great experience I did buy the Ford streaming service and it worked great. I was disappointed she came back to the car to soon.

I signed up for it as well to see if it will be useful and it's already come in handy. I gotta say $10/month for unlimited video streaming and all the other Alexa stuff is a very good deal, especially since they seem to want to add more services.

We all sat in a Wawa parking lot before soccer practice and ate sandwiches while watching YouTube videos on the car, it was very nice.

I get you tube videos for free on my phone, old Johnny Carson stuff or whatever, are these the same just on the car screen? Couldn’t people use their I pad using the MME as a hot spot assuming they have wireless subscription for car.?

If you spend $10 a month for this do you also have to get subscription for the MME for wireless ?

I tried using my phone as a hot spot but it is not recognized by MME

You missed one.

If you are charging within range of a restaurant or hotel with WiFi, you can connect to those.

There's more content on YouTube than all of the regular networks combined. We watch a lot of tech and video game stuff. And my kids especially enjoy the videos by America's Test Kitchen. It's a different experience when everyone is focused on the big screen on the car and it's easy to just select the app. I don't know how to explain it to you, nor is it my job to convince you why something works for me and doesn't appeal to you.
