at least it appears they dont have the ugly double bars at the top when using carplay or andriod auto - the ford bar + the android auto bar waste way too much space.

Maybe Ryan could ask GM to send over the CAD file with the physical climate control buttons... ? ?
Somewhat redundent I think. Your already use screen real estate to label the buttons, so why not just tap the screen. Pros and cons. You can work HVAC with work gloves on, but you have another button destined for failure. Interesting to see each manufacturers thinking however.

Just another 6 figure ev truck lol Many are already asking, for this price can it tow with any decent range.

Those buttons at the bottom of the touchscreen are freekin' gross no matter how much utility they provide! They don't belong in this decade.
So, I COULD see a case for them if they were trying for a retro vibe (like a mini) - which they are definitely NOT!

We can all quibble about the “right” way to leverage the different HMI elements (knob, voice, hard switches in the cabin) available. I’ve actually been very peripherally involved in a couple of those discussions in a very different environment and all I know is that it’s very difficult and the bridge of the enterprise in ST:TNG is a classic example of an HMI design nightmare. (Sorry trekkies.)

To be clear, I'm reasonably satisfied with the Sync interface and have no desire for buttons. It has been a frequent topic of debate on here though. I guess I'm guilty of stirring the pot. ??

The buttons are also not needed because of the knob! That's what the knob is for. The temperature should be changed by spinning the knob. Also the heated seat temperature.
heated seats don't need a knob or a slider... tap once, for high, tap again for med, tap again for low, tap again for off.

Totally agree. I don’t know why Ford had to reinvent heated seat controls that have worked great for like a hundred years. The touchscreen slider is perhaps the worst possible design for heated seats control.

One more thing to go wrong. I am OK with the screen. I think all functions fine in the ford. A/C button could have been off and on for me as I use that a lot more but whatever. All works and comfortable when cold and dressed for it.
On the bright side, @AOSK and gang have another customer for their 'replacement' screen knobs. ;)
I have been eyeing that black volume knob cover but so far have resisted ;). I think it looks good and would feel better. I have no problem with the knob and the steering wheel is the remote

Hard buttons are definitely needed IMO - sort of like GM's copy of the Ford infotainment screen and added physical buttons.

I reserved one, thinking I could get the base Denali trim (Elevation), but it's not looking like it will be offered ?

That's pretty funny. I do like those physical buttons for HVAC though. That is a nice way to label (and possibly re label based on context?) physical buttons.
That’s one of my biggest complaints on the Mach E, very few physical buttons other than volume.

Calm down it’s short for synchronize as in temperature from side to side. Ford did not come up with the word, been in the dictionary a long time.
I‘m not sure what about their post wasn’t calm. At least it doesn’t say MyFordTouch. ?
