Guys, if you want Hands Free, just take your car to the ship already. Sure they could screw something up, but so could the OTA update. If something does screw up I think you’d rather have it happen under Ford’s roof.
Less likely to get screwed up OTA. I think BC is just on a slowed down rollout right now for some reason.
Also having 21P22 done IS NOT a requirement for getting BC OTA.

Got my Blue Cruise 2.8.2 OTA Aug 9/22

I still get SYNC errors, so the update didn't help there. Previously I was on 2.7.4

It'll happen, just have to hang loose for a bit longer.

EDIT: Updated FordPass 4.19.0 and it just informed me that I received OTA 2.8.3 today.

Sept 9 and I’m still waiting. Took delivery in May 2021.
no obvious rhyme or reason to the OTA rollout.

and does anyone actually think we have any hope of BC 1.2 based on how well the BC basics went?

Sept 9 and I’m still waiting for bc on my first edition built January ‘21, delivered Feb ‘21. I plan to ask about this when I go. For my 10k checkup.

Six months since release—I think it's probably a lost cause at this point if you haven't gotten 2.8.3 or the recall OTA update yet. You probably have stuck module software that needs correcting.

FYI the BlueCruise update CSP expires March 14, 2023, or when you hit 36k miles. You may want to start thinking about scheduling the dealer updates if you're getting close to those.

I am in the same boat. Took delivery in March 2021. Still waiting for the Blue Cruise update. I received a few of the BC prep OTA's, so hoping it is just a slow go to get to those of us lagging behind.

Is there any way to verify if the OTA is coming or if we somehow 'missed out"?

Car is back from 10k checkup. Even though I had an OTA update for the contactors, they ran "22S41B" and checked all modules for updates; statement says, "all of these modules are up to date". When I dropped it off, I agreed that I would wait a few more weeks to see if any OTA progress is made toward Blue Cruise. Tech guy said that was probably a good idea, as them doing that upload has been buggy, and sometimes stretches to a 2nd day. I didn't want to be carless for 2 days, and I'm not desperate to have Blue Cruise ASAP.
At any rate, the recall notice that persisted even after my OTA update has now gone away–I'm sure because of the 22S41B they ran.

Still waiting on BC too. 2.74 was July 7th. Nothing since. Scheduled the update at dealership 9/21. May 2021 build, what a frustrating experience.

I took delivery in June 2021 and tried to get them to update it at my 10k checkup. I was told they would not do it at the dealership any longer and I had to wait for the OTA update. Hopefully, you have better luck than I did!

I do not have Blue Cruise and have been stuck on 2.7.4 since June (though I did get the xxx-CHG, xxx-POPA, and xxx-FXB OTAs). I have a March 2021 MME Premium 4XE - build date 1/30/2021.

I finally decided to take "Rufus" in to the dealer today to do the Blue Cruise updates. They said they couldn't do it.

When I got home I called Ford customer support and Shelby was extremely knowledgeable about the issue and told me that Ford has asked the dealers not to do the Blue Cruise updates since they have been failing. She told me that Ford hopes to have the problem resolved and those updates ready for dealers to install by the end of December 2022 (not holding my breath).

Best case is that it will go out OTA and will work. But, you may still have to go to a dealer to have it installed.

The day was not a total loss - I got my second FOB (CSP 22B10).

2021 Mach E premium EX here, still no blue cruise. I called Ford OTA team again today. Apparently Ford has stopped pushing the OTA updates for blue cruise for some cars (no official communication though).
The customer support person had no information and didn't sound optimistic about any resolution. I was informed that I could take it to the dealership to get the Blue Cruise update (which I think isn't the correct information, and I also don't want to go this route). And I would have to pay for it.
After being put on hold for a long time, I asked for any official communication regarding the Blue Cruise OTA's being put on hold, for which I have found none. I received an Email and a letter months ago that Blue Cruise would be coming soon via OTA updates. When I questioned how Ford was putting Blue cruise on newer models out of the Factory line, there was no answer. So, for some reason Ford Motor Company can push the latest software on the cars on the assembly line, but not send the update via an OTA (or the dealership) to 2021 model year Mach E's.
At this point of time, I have lost all faith in Ford Motor Company to fulfill any of the advertised and promised (communicated via emails and letters) OTA updates and ongoing improvements, especially the Blue cruise.

I've had by Mach-E since March 2021, a couple of months ago I received notice about getting the Blue Cruise - OTA and it would be free for a year. Still waiting. Seems like everyone else has gotten it, am I the only one waiting?
Can you tell me what OTA stands for?

Over the Air, literally. On the forum though, OTA refers to Ford's wireless transmission (mostly via its Internet servers and commercial cellular phone networks) of updates to vehicle modules. The update packages are stored into the vehicle's Gateway Module, which also coordinates their installation into one or more of a myriad of electronic modules in your vehicle.
