Box sized battery as emergency battery backup? Is it possible?

Im wondering if someone could make a old cigar box size battery that could hold a charge and be plugged into the mach e charge port in case of emergency to provide 20ish miles of range to the mach e internal batteries to prevent ever being stranded

This is the size of a 3.6kWh battery to get about 10ish miles of range. I don't think any kind of extra battery is going to be practical with current battery technology.

Maybe if it contained plutonium but otherwise that’s a big ask for the size…

Maybe when the Mach e has batteries that provide 600 miles of range! That being said there are services now that have mobile charging and will drive up to your stranded car.

There is quite a difference between the power needed for a jump and the power needed to charge to charge an HVB. Which was my point that if they ever condense enough energy into that small of a package our cars will be going hundreds of miles between charges. Not calling it crazy but it is certainly a long time from now.
