Chiming in here, I personally don't think you can reproduce the half shaft noise by pushing on the car but that is my opinion. I've had cars make various noises when pushing on them and it's always a suspension part. My first thought would be a loose or bad end link. I am also looking forward to hearing what Tanner finds with his issue.

Tanner, what part is your bar touching that you found while the frunk is out? I have mine out right now and I don't see where it's touching anything but then we both have different models. I replaced the front bar in Anton's Premium and had to bend the pump bracket 90˚ to get it to clear the bar but did not notice anything else it was touching although I never removed the frunk in his car. I need to get in touch with him so he can have his end links greased.

By the way, does anyone want some used, stock sway bars? ? JK
Took these to recycling the other day.

I am not sure how the half shaft problem can be confirmed. Mark may know, as he is familiar with the problem. But I think the defect rate is very high, and I would be surprised if you don't have the problem since I think your car is in the effected batch.

Maybe they will fix it under warranty since there is a SSM released.
IIRC, there were two halfshaft problems. The original one was bad CV joints. The next one was a manufacturing problem for a batch that went into 2022 models (material too thin). The CV joint issue can be checked just by seeing how much play there is at extreme deflections. The 2022 issue needs to be checked by vehicle VIN (there was a recall for it). ?‍♂?

Ugh. I still need to get rid of mine. They're just sitting in the front yard. ??

Components I’ve had no clearance around the front sway bar:

Ford Mustang Mach-E Steeda Front Sway Bar! It is awesome. Transforms the car into what it should be. D79D2757-5D6A-4C0F-989E-848D2BBB8C61

The electrical connector on the red circled pump was low clearance until I bent the bracket 90*, yellow circled item has zero clearance when the LH bushing bracket pictured is shifted all the way towards the front of the car. To be honest I’m not sure what the yellow circled item is, I’m thinking pedestrian speaker or something??

Video of clunk noise.. still not 100% sure but I have a strong suspicion it’s from the LH end link as that one came to me with no grease.

The easy thing to do regarding the clunking is to try to tighten up the nuts for the end links. If they're all tight, then it's probably a grease issue. The problem is, if the end links are clunking due to low/no grease, they're already worn to the point that they need replacing. ??

Yeah, I’m worried about them being worn. Hopefully I’m ok… otherwise I need to see if it’s possible to use a stock end link if they’re worn that bad. ??I had contacted Steeda about it early on in diagnosing so maybe they’ll send me a replacement if that is the case.

Good luck to everyone. Bring a novice in this area I am glad I delayed installing the front sway bars.

Looking to see the final outcomes

Tanner, the yellow circle area is the Pedestrian warning speaker so no worries if that thing falls off. ?

I think the clunk noise is an end link for sure. Sounds like a loose one to me but if not, then like Steve said, it might be shot because of no grease.

Tanner, that clunking sounds kinda familiar, though I was driving when it occurred on mine, so my "vantage" point was different. I'm very curious.............

You are right Ken!! Let us find these issues with a new product! I think we have it figured out though. The front bar is the only one that really has had any issues.

1. Cut 1" off end of the bar (last hole) so as not to interfere with the tie rod (thanks Tanner).
2. If your car is not a GT, may have to bend water pump bracket to 90˚ to clear (thanks Anton).
3. Grease end links before installation (thanks Mark).
4. Tighten the end link bolts to proper torque and use loctite (thanks John).

As an option:
Install Zirk fitting on bushing brackets so it's easier to grease when necessary (thanks Steve).

Since I am not installing I am happy to see solutions and will wait a bit more. I was thinking of having Steeda do the install but may wait until car in back in NY and have my independent shop handle

Thanks to all of you who are doing the hard work

@JohnFoxeSheets @markboris @HuntingPudel @mkhuffman luckily it was a end link bolt that had loosened up. I packed end links with grease as well. They were all basically without grease. Thanks for the help and info!

As for the loose nut I have no idea how that happened, I torqued to 85ft-lbs for sure on the install. Possibly hit that prematurely and it loosened up over time, because it took ~10k miles to make noise ??‍♂ I’ll chalk it up to operator error ?

Sorry for the stupid question, what is the best way to grease the end links? If I have to take them off, would it be better just to replace them with another brand?

They have zerk fittings on them. Use a grease gun with a flex hose on it. To make it easier, use a gun with a flex hose and a 90 degree fitting on the end of the hose. ??

If I have enough problems with my end links, I'm just going to shit-can them and replace them with heim joints like I do with all of my other high-performance cars. I'll try greasing mine first, then see what happens. ?‍♂?

Will this do it?
