It takes a delicate foot, and a little practice to avoid lurching. But, you *should* be able to drive in bumper to bumper city traffic without lurching and without ever touching the brake pedal if you are in unbridled 1-p.Has Ford changed software yet to allow for adjustable levels of 1PD ?
I ask because where I drive (urban bumper to bumper) in my Lightning, 1PD is very harsh and very abrupt. 1PD lurches as I have to cover the brakes every few yards.
When I tried for a few days, my wife says 1PD makes her nauseous because of the constant lurching.
the trick is to smooth out your accelerator foot movement.... particularly when decellerating. Don't lift your foot completely all at once like you are used to when moving to the brake pedal... just lift incrementally and let the regen brake for you. and have 'auto-hold' enabled.
