Still waiting for news on the part after 25 days. I got the BEV team involved the day it happened. They put the COPIS order through about 22 days ago. I'm being told that the part hasn't shipped yet because of low supply...
Just out of curiosity do you have a GT or a GTPE? I was told by my dealer that the HVBJB for the GT/GTPE can take up to 5 weeks to get here, even through COPIS.

Not sure if they are parts-sorting, or if there is a functional difference between the parts (does anyone associated with a dealer know?)

I've not gotten an ETA on my part, so I'll post here when it comes in.

2021 GTPE. OK, so maybe there’s a legitimate explanation for the delay because I have a GTPE. I much prefer that to the alternative.

Pure speculation here, but the HVBJB failure rate (and hence demand for parts) for GT/GTPE is higher than other trims, which could explain the longer lead time.

(and they are different parts for GT / GTPE, I believe)

I charged to 100% yesterday on the mobile charger plugged into a 208v outlet. Drove around 120 miles at 80mph before getting a service message. Power meter showed bars blocking out 60% of power. I assumed it was the dreaded HVBJB failure and it was welded open, which allowed me to continue driving. I pulled up my obd scanner app and the code referenced a battery contractor. I got to my house and pulled in the garage. I used the obd scanner to clear the code. I power cycled the car and the service code didn't return. I charged overnight on L2 to 90% and drove to work today with no issues. Has anyone had any experiences like this?
That's not the best idea. It will happen again, I promise you that. When Service Vehicle Soon pops up again, take it to the dealer rather than clearing the codes.

Happy to report that my car is fixed!

Exactly three weeks.
1) We dropped off at our dealer on Friday 11/25. HVBJB diagnosed the same day.
2) For some reason, waited till Friday 12/2 to order through COPIS.
3) Part arrived at dealer Tuesday 12/13.
4) Car completed today 12/16.I actually knew it was fixed before they called me, I saw it was driven a few miles today, then I noticed codes were cleared and it was being charged.

Special thanks to this thread and @DevSecOps for the advice. I opened a case with the BEV team the day we received the SVS message, and they have covered a rental for us and helped ensure the part was shipped promptly to our dealer.

36k is the highest failure mileage I have seen, which doesn't make me feel any better about hitting 20k with no failure. What is your top speed on the highway and do you have a lot of elevation changes in your highway driving?
Working my way through this. We just got the SVS at 44,075 miles. Was going freeway speeds (75/80) ambient temps in the high 20's F / -1C , interior heat on high

My GTPE joined the club; purchased in August, 2800 miles, got "Service Soon" version on December 13. Called Boston area dealer, they offered appointment mid-February! Called the dealer I bought it from, they took me in same-day despite taking normal appointments mid-January. Now waiting for part from Ford corporate, they are on back order, unknown ETA...

If you haven't done so already, open a case with the corporate BEV team, and they will work with your dealer to order the part through COPIS. They should also provide rental reimbursement for you as well if your dealer doesn't offer you a loaner. Good luck!

Thank you Rob! I just called Ford at the number provided in the beginning of this thread and discovered that the dealer had not actually escalated to Ford, so the customer service rep called them and did the escalation for me. According to the rep the part is out of stock from the manufacturer due to a shortage of components, once it is manufactured the escalation we just did will result in it being shipped directly to the dealer. Sounds like a long wait lies ahead.

Yeah, My BEV rep said that the dealer has to order through COPIS, and then the rep can also try to escalate. She also said they list the part as backordered, so dealers don't hoard them. My part took 11 days from order to delivery at dealer.

Start to finish my repair took 3 weeks, and that was with calling the BEV rep and/or my dealer every other day for status. Stay on top of them and you will get your car fixed. Also do check into the rental reimbursement with the Ford BEV rep if you haven't already done so, as having transportation certainly takes some of the pressure out of a tough situation.

Thanks again Rob. The dealer has issued me a little EcoSport replacement, not exactly a luxury car in the New England freezing temperature, but it does put some pressure on them.

You should have pointed at the Lightening and said "I'll take that one until my MME is repaired". ?

I've been stalking this forum for a couple of weeks now. My 2021 Extended Premium with under 8600 miles got the dreaded "Stop safely" notification and wouldn't shift into any gear. My dealership was very backed up so it took them 11 days to diagnose w/ HVJB Failure...with the part on backorder. I called BEV who will continue to reach out to the dealer about a rental car (I've been in one since the breakdown) and expedite the order. ??
HVJB finally installed. Car is operable and drivable, however the tech is still seeing a P1A10 code. Has been using ford hotline for tech support, but seems to be going in circles.

Any advice?
