With the new discount of $7500 and free charging of 10,000 miles (~$1400 value), a Model Y price point is arguably cheaper than a 2023 Premium AWD ER after full tax credit. Model Y has a longer EPA range 330 miles compared to 290 miles of Mach E. Will Ford run the same promotion on Mach E hopefully back date to first of December?

Yeah but it still looks like a Model Y

EPA range difference between the two gives the nod to the MY, but real world range testing back in 2021 demonstrated MME goes further in several videos.
Was the extra 10 grand for the MY self-driving/hands free factored in?
Was the MME free 2 years of EA charging factored in?

Don't get me wrong, I do hope Ford runs some kind of promotional, but it may depend more on the demand for the product (or lack thereof), more so than what the competition is doing.

I'm sorry, but a Model Y looks like a pregnant Model 3. The sameness of the Tesla design language is looking dated and is far less interesting than other manufacturers IMO. Hyundai and Kia are really swinging for the fences.

I doubt Ford has the excess inventory Tesla has now

Highly doubt it. Tesla is doing it because they don't want people trying to delay taking delivery until after January 1st. People were doing that because they won't qualify for the tax credit until then. That's not the case for Ford.

Don’t forget the free publicity you’ll get if your car crashes. Musk will gladly hand over all your private driving data immediately to the media

That kinda free fame has to be worth something!

The autopilot on a Model S is quite superior. BC, autopilot and adaptive cruise control are very similar to me. BC would be better when lane change is rolled out. MY with enhanced autopilot ($5k) should be comparable to BC with lane change.

I think Ford should throw in some incentives for owners and buyers. Two year EA charging would be nice. It sounds like a lot but I rarely charge at EA unless traveling. Alternative promotion could be fixed kw. Let's say 2-4k kw.

Why would they give an incentive when there’s zero inventory and the $7500 tax credit still applies?

Absolutely not! Not trying to start anything here but, I want nothing to do with Tesla. Not even to take one for free and sell it for $1.
Pretty sure you could sell it for more than $1. If anyone ever offers you a free Tesla, please tell them to reach out to me instead.

My dealer is still trying to sell a 2023 Premium. I have seen several dealers with available Mach E. I think the inventory in Texas is quite abundance. With Tesla up the discount, it may be harder for a Mach E to find the right buyer.
