Has anyone gotten handsfree BlueCruise to work on their 2023 yet? I’ve had my car since Wednesday this week and have already over 500 miles and still requires hands on driving. Info updates available and everything is enabled.

Several threads about this, mine doesn’t work yet either. The consensus is it may take 7-10 days for features to actually work. I’ve had mine for 3 days so I’ll see soon if that is the case.

Mine works fine, but only on the interstate system. You have to watch the road, it it will ding at you and tell you to put your hands on the wheel. Like a Tesla, it penalizes you. Ask me how I know. :D Not a good picture, but here it is on I-265, the steering wheel and HANDS FREE message should be in blue.

I’ve driven over 10 miles to work before on the interstate and never had to touch the wheel. It even does lane changes by tapping the turn signal.

Are you using some kind of filter? I’ve never seen the speed and speed sign in red before and the rest of your display is extremely dim

It’s how the IPC shows up on phone cameras because of the refresh rate

Capture speed of the smartphone camera versus refresh rate of the instrument cluster LEDs.

AFAIK, a white pixel on an LED display is composed of red, green, and blue LEDs all being on within the same time frame. But they're not necessarily all on at precisely the same instant. It happens so quickly that your human brain merges them together to perceive white.

2023 Select AWD on BlueCruise free trial. It is garbage. For starters, RIP to those who wear sunglasses, you can see in the below pictures that there's infrared lights blasting you in the face and at least one camera watching for the reflection from your pupils. If you wear sunglasses, it cannot see pupils, it assumes you are asleep or on your phone or whatever.

While hands-free, I turned on the turn signal to get over and it never did. It never initiated a lane change.

I hate it and won't bother using it until it's more refined/intelligent, and especially not at $600/yr.

PS: no idea what @Logal727 and @macchiaz-o are talking about with phone cameras, maybe mine doesn't have the same shutter speed or something because my display has the proper colors.

Hmm, I use BC all the time just fine, don’t have the latest version with lane change yet though

Have you ever tried sunglasses with it? Also, mine slows down a lot, like if it comes up to traffic I'll find myself stuck at 57mph while traffic in the lanes to the left are blowing by at 80mph.

Edit: what I mean by traffic, if you look at my pics I'm obviously being slowed down because I'm approaching a car, but then when it clears up, the hands free didn't resume a normal speed, it stayed under 60 for a while (when I did this again without sunglasses).

Doesn’t look like you are in hands free mode in the latest pic. But you should speed up gradually depending on your follow distance setting. Also not sure if you knew, but hands free will turn off above 80mph.

Those 3 pics are in immediate succession, meaning this is what happens when you drive hands free while wearing sunglasses, it tells you to take control, you can see my odometer increments by 0.1 miles between each picture.
