Anyone using Alexa in their Mach-E?

Yes.

When I started the car a few days ago and announcement came through the speaker and on the sync screen, something along the lines of, "Alexa has been signed out. You must reconnect to continue using Alexa."

That was the first time it was announced to me like that, but definitely not the first time I was logged out. That happens regularly like it does for you.

It's tricky to get the Amazon app to recognize the connection QR code, too... Usually takes me several attempts, or I use the manual auth code instead.

Glad to know it's happened to someone else. But the fact that it's not universal means that we're somehow special. I wonder what the cause is?
Is Alexa upset with something we did? Did we forget to pay attention to her grocery list?

I once demanded her to stop enumerating the digits of π. Could be retribution.

I have two step authentication enabled with a rolling codes style authenticator... But I'm guessing many others do, too. No idea, really. Just grasping at straws.

I don't, so my Amazon account is open to hacking for anyone interested. But she still signs me out in the car

I get signed out all the time too frustrating when you are driving and ask it something and no response only to find out you been signed out and have to stop and use the QR code and resign back in.

Have noticed the same thing with new UI. Log into Alexa app using either QR or code on screen. Works fine. Next time car is on, Alexa is ....gone. I have logged back in a couple of times but clearly something wrong. Called the Tech desk and got someone who I could not understand.

Hopefully Ford is reading these posts and is working on a fix.

For me it was working great for a month or so, then it stopped working. I have tried to deregister from Amazon and reregister but no luck. It gets stuck on the QR code once I activate. I can see it in my Amazon devices, but the car won't move past the QR screen.

I have 2021 job 2, use it when it's not signed off, which is happening daily. At times she's spot on and more then not 1st grader is smarter.

I have never been able to get Alexa to activate....did the scan thing, Amazon account shows that it is a registered device....nothing after that....scan icon hangs there.

Yeah, Alexa keeps signing out. I think this may be an Amazon authentication issue or Ford messed something up using the API. Hopefully it’s on Amazon’s end, that’s likely to get fixed faster.

I actually use it a lot. I have my home with smart devices that are hooked to both Google and Alexa. So I use it for turning on the garage lights or opening the garage door or setting my living room/bedroom temperature after returning from somewhere. It is pretty convenient. Now would I pay 10$ or whatever Ford expects to charge for it after the trial expires is another thing. Probably not. I'll probably just rely on Google Assistant on my phone then.

Sorry for late reply...no luck with Alexa. None of the updates caused any change...still hangs when I scan to setup. Not bothering with it...happy that I am finally fully up to date with no issues.
