Anyone using Alexa in their Mach-E?

I wish I had the option to "Do not set up and delete icon", but all it gives me is "Get Started" and when tapping that, forces me to sign in with an Amazon account I don't have.

Interesting. Difference between 2021 and 2022 model year? Did you get the 3.5.3.3 Power Up? You might also want to check your Connectivity settings in the vehicle.

Alexa in my car stopped working after the initial update and setup it just stopped working and now I can’t get it to work anymore

I don't get it. I have Alexa now in the car, but it can't really control the car temp, or windows etc. It can tell the weather, but cannot play music on Spotify, only the radio. Is there a way for Ford Alexa to play Spotify or even Amazon music?

I used it to change the temp in the car and to select the SiriusXM station. Haven’t tried anything else.

This is an old thread but on my 2021 Mach E I finally got Alexa and I finally figured out how to play Spotify using Alexa. Ford is sneaky and try to upsell the Ford connected $10 per month plan. You don't need that. If you have WiFi (available at most charging stations) or a hotspot (most unlimited plans have it) then you can connect that to your car and it will work just fine.

Why would anyone need it. Really simple. Let's say I'm charging my car. I can watch videos on my phone while kids can continue listening to songs on Spotify or Apple music or Amazon music or Pandora etc. that Alexa supports.

My biggest gripe so far with Ford has been there is no native music player in the car. This fixes it so I can use my phone independently of the car.

Wish Ford did not make it so hard to figure these things out.

Just got my car and set up Alexa, daughter loves it as she can DJ the music in the car. "Alexa , play ......." from the backseat.

I dont entend to use Alexa, but it is one of several of the Connected Services still showing pending activation for me. It is very frustrating. @Ford Motor Company ignored my post asking about it.

I'll log into my Amazon account in the car, it'll work for 2-3 days, and then it'll automatically sign me out along with a Sync notification the next time I start the car that I've been signed out of Alexa.

That's irritating enough that I probably won't activate it again if it continues.

I have not seen this (yet). Been using Alexa in the car for 6 weeks or so and it has not logged out.

Yes.

When I started the car a few days ago and announcement came through the speaker and on the sync screen, something along the lines of, "Alexa has been signed out. You must reconnect to continue using Alexa."

That was the first time it was announced to me like that, but definitely not the first time I was logged out. That happens regularly like it does for you.

It's tricky to get the Amazon app to recognize the connection QR code, too... Usually takes me several attempts, or I use the manual auth code instead.
