Test drove a '23 MME Premium AWD ER and loved it ! Now have to sell my '22 Lightning!

Stopped by a Ford dealer today to see how much they would pay for my Lightning.

While they held my Lightning for appraisal, I asked for a test drive of their Vapor Blue AWD ER Premium MME since demo MME were non existent last year when I placed my order.

Loved it!

It was definitely a sports car and reminded me of my past BMWs (335d, 328xi, 528, X5d, X5 40)

Very well planted and sure footed. Took corners well with torque vectoring powering thru turns. Made me want the AWD variant.

Numbers didn't work out - they wanted $10K ADM on the MME and lowballed me for the Lightning.

I know - typical dealer games...

Will have to wait for my 10 month ordered MME....

Nice handwritten window sticker. The MSRP is wrong and that ADM is ridiculous today. I think it’s like $17k too high.

I visted local Ford Dealer in my area today , they had like 15 Mach E , all at MSRP. Since yesterday IRS new they said people calling to buy them and they are selling at MSRP. I test drove Vapor Blue Premium SR (Same as my ordered one) and loved it , I mostly going buy that one at MSRP.

Any dealer trying to charge ADM today is smoking some wild mind bending stuff. OP, your local dealer should be avoided. There's plenty out there that want your business and don't require you to bend over.

But so far 2 Ford dealers are charging ADM.

They know the tax credit applies to every trim and the new lower prices.

Guess I will wait for my ordered MME at MSRP.

Just getting antsy and don't know if I will get the tax credit if and when Ford decides to delivery my 10 month MME order...

Yeah, that's the issue with vague laws that can be changed on a whim. I can't believe they still have zero clue as to how things will be march 1st. I bought 4 vehicles last year, 2 were from neighboring states. I don't even bother with local dealers.

I know out of state dealers will sell a MME at MSRP.

But the dealers know that in order to qualify for the state rebate (CVRP), the vehicle has to be purchase in state.

Even though the dealers know about the lower prices, they are adding ADM as if it's normal.

Here's another local dealer that is charging $7300 over MSRP:

Ford dealers are the worst for trade in.

They are the lowest of the lowest.

Even with $20K marked up Lightnings on their lot, they won't even come close to online buyers, wholesale or even close to MMR.

Even more funny is that Ford dealers can tack on their Blue Oval Certified (CPO) and command $85K.
