My thought exactly. I bet a poll of red, blue and orange MMEs would prove 90% in the 50s-60s age range. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but personally I'm not trying to add 15-25 years onto my age.
Interesting.

We went to "red, red, nothing but red" years ago after we bought a 2010 Fusion Hybrid during Cash for Clunkers, and had no choice but the very dark green, which looked black. It looked dirty a minute after washing it. 2013 F-150, 2018 Fusion Energi, 2021 Mach-E, 2022 Mach-E - all either Ruby Red Metallic or Rapid Red Metallic.

The first colors to rule out, IMO, are anything non-metallic. Then it's a simple matter of what looks best when it gets a little dirty, combined with not getting a fugly car. Having owned various colors over 40 years, including a 1981 Chevrolet Malibu and a 1982 Jeep CJ (both in my 20s), age doesn't impact my choice. If a car screams "look at me, look at me", it could be from a mid-life crisis, it could be from insecurity, it could be from conceit, it could be from lack of taste (no Rod, not you...), a desire to be a superhero (yes Rod, you... ? ), etc.

I represent that remark! I bought my first red sports car in my 30s, claiming it was my midlife crisis car. I have only had red cars ever since, including my GTPE in my 70s. (Midlife crisis forever!)

I think the blue and orange are attention grabbing and great colors to show off the car. I think they look great but are too much as my daily driver.

I debated putting red in there, but did in part just to elicit a response from you Rick. Ford's red is definitely a more standard color. I had a red truck when I was 17. I agree with you 200% on metallic hiding dirt.

I am an introvert that lives monochromatically so I love my Carbonized Gray Metallic. Honestly love all the colors of the Mach-E and would have bought Iconic Silver if they still had it on the '23.

Colors of vehicles owned in order...light blue, dark blue/tan, copper, white, red, purplish (minivan phase), red (wife's), white, silver, black, gold (daughter's), silver, white (wife's), tuxedo black, tan(daughter's), carbonized gray metallic.

Nearly all the shades of grey are just uninteresting to me. I already have a dark, metallic, grey color of some sort on my truck because that's all that was on the lot when I needed to get a truck.

More than 78% of cars in the US are burdened with some shade of grey. I couldn't stomach getting another depressingly-colored car.

I wish Ford had been clever enough to reformulate the original colors for the Mustang for the Mach-E's release. I would have been thrilled to get the Tropical Turquoise.

A little flamboyant don't you think. I think we have progressed to the non-metallic, nardo gray colors or even the matte with gloss details. My MME is carbonized grey metallic, but would have preferred the lead foot gray that is found on other Ford vehicles. While there is no right color, I'd probably stay away from black due to the increase maintenance to keep clean among other things.

I think that's called "keeping it in the power curve"

Agree. 2nd to rule out for me was anything that showed up the awful black wheel arches, since the body-color option wasn't known to our sales guy (or the order system) at the time of order. The cyber orange with black wheel arches looked a little too Subaru XV to me.

...to all of you who mistakenly picked or were conned into buying any color Mach-E other than grabber blue, especially all of you with some shade of silver or grey.

My deepest apologies... I feel your pain.

EDIT!!!!
Thanks for all the positive and fun comments everyone! Of course I started this thread in a joking manner and I'm glad to see everyone having fun with it!:)

As far as the pictures are concerned the first photo was taken by my salesman shortly after purchase for the dealers FB page. He has an iPhone which are renowned for their cameras.

The second and third photos were taken by me when I got home and I have a Pixel 6 which has a good camera just not Apple good.
It's a shame they didn't have the red mettalic

It's a shame they didn't have red metallic when you shopped around. Sorry you missed out. Also, strike two on the phone.
