What is the L Position on my gear shift

I did not notice at first that there is an L position on my gear. What does that mean and or do as opposed to D for drive R for reverse etc?

You can activate this position at any
vehicle speed which provides an increased
level of deceleration when you lift off the
accelerator pedal. You can use low (L) at
all times, if desired, but improving
drivability while descending grades is the
intent. Entering low (L) does not take any
actions if one pedal drive is active.

Specially it does not function as 1 pedal, it gives you a lower amount of off throttle regen that only brings you down to creep and not a stop. Pretty nice, especially to get regen into the pack coasting down hill, but not a 1 pedal toggle.

I haven't needed to try it but on an ICE I'd use it to stay in 1st gear through snow piles. There hasn't been enough snow here this year to need it though.

It creates drag on the drivetrain by increasing the regeneration rate. The amount of drag is similar to having the car in Unbridled driving mode without having the heavier steering. ??

I've been calling it my (L)imiter. I drive up and down a canyon quite often and notice it limits my speed downhill to whatever I've set cruise control. I frequently far exceed the set cruising speed on the downhill leg if I don't. I use 1PD.

The one and only time I went through a car was. I put the car in neutral and pressed L. Maybe that wasn't necessary but I received a message the car was in tow mode. I had no problems at the car wash conveyer system either.

I have these IP speakers at work, the reset button is labeled RTFM

More need to do this apparently but this is a good question I justed wanted to post about the speakers RTFM button
