Still fimbulwinter here in MN so I'll be able to test this out over the next week or two. It won't be as cold as Jan/Feb but on longer drives at highway speeds, I often need to toggle between auto heat around 63/64º and max defrost every 5-10 minutes to clear out humidity (happens more often with more people in the car, naturally). Even if I switch off auto and do defrost/floor as options it still fogs up gradually. So I'm hoping this will just let me keep it in auto mode and not get distracted by fine-tuning the climate controls.Just in time for our 80º weather this week+
Yeah the noise is the coolant pumps in failsafe mode is what I've been told, it's normal.I just updated mine. Loud noise from the back driver side brake calipers is what it sounded like during part of it
Also a bonus, during the update my trunk opened by itself so be aware...
EDIT: Never mind, it’s doneJust finished installing the update. Took about 15 mins. Preset stations disappeared, stuck in unbridle and couldn’t select engage mode which it was in before the update, and Wi-Fi settings gone. Did a sync reset which restored the preset radio stations and could select engage mode. Had to manually enter Wi-Fi settings again. Weird HVAC update.
I assume you are referring to the charge percentage of the high voltage battery displayed on the driver's instrument cluster here where you mention 20%... For updates to be applied, that doesn't matter. It's the 12v battery that must be above a certain charge percentage (75 or 80%... Can't recall the exact right answer). By starting and moving your car you created the opportunity for the car to charge up the 12v from the high voltage battery.Saw this post so when out and moved my car from driveway to the garage, update downloaded and installed. And interestingly I was at 20% and the download started without prompt. I did plug it in and then choose to install it.
