Long story short, I can see why people like it, but it feels a bit like a toy. More details later.

The heads up display is sick, the steering is responsive, it feels lighter than my GTPE, the ride is decent. It doesn’t feel much quicker than the GTPE down low, but up at higher speeds, it’s clear that it has more power. But it doesn’t feel as planted at higher speeds. The seats are a little more bolstered and smaller, felt tighter in there, not uncomfortable, but I prefer the GTPE. Maybe it’s just me, but I couldn’t help but keep thinking “yeah, it’s a Kia” in there. I prefer the GTPE interior. The turn signal turning on the side cameras are cool though. I can see the allure, but to me, I’m good with what I have, despite the 5 second power limitation.

If the MME GTPE’s character is vaguely American muscle car, the EV6 GT reminds me of a EV version of a souped up Supra or Civic.

While I agree it's cool, to me the turn signal mirrors are a gimmick. The dash is the last place I was to be looking when changing lanes.

I have a Mach-e on order 3/11/22. For the last 6 months I can get an EV6 wind or GT in the color my wife wants any day within 250 miles. In full disclosure I have not driven the GT. It was the wind version. I have not driven the GT of the Mach-e, only the select. It’s been the wind vs select AWD SR. Quickness seems like a tie. Just a perception, no real numbers. EV6 seemed cheaper interior. Ev6 had more road noise. I like the styling of the EV6 better, my wife doesn't, and it’s going to be her car:

Which GT, the EV6 or the MME?

Sorry too many GTs ha!
I have not driven either GT.

Six months ago you could find MME GTs around here easily. Still can. Inventory for other than GT’s has been tough. There are 7 GT’s I see in my search. 1 select. Now there are 6 premiums that are listed as dealer ordered, but not available on the lot. (100 mile radius)

The wind version of the EV6 was easy to get 6 months ago and availability has been steady. I can’t remember when the EV6 GT came on the scene, but available is good for the GT right now. I see 4 GT’s and 3 winds when I do an inventory search. (100 mile radius)

When I dive into the dealers websites (Kia)one is doing dealer mark up +$5k!, the other is doing $500 off! Odd, to me. But, one is on the cost (markup) the other is more inland in a more rural area.

The MME that we ordered last year is for my wife. (Stuck in KC) I want an EV for my daily driver (I drive a F150). If things go in that direction, the EV6 may be on my list.

I looked at the GT, but no power seats, no memory seats, smaller screen, not as comfortable seat and still a $63K MSRP made it a no go. For $53K you can order a M3P from Tesla with the same/better performance with power seats, not to mention a better charging network.

I have noticed a lot of the EA charging stations in our area are being filled up with the Hyundai's, Kia's, BMW's and VW's that all get 2 years of free charging at EA. There have been several times there were no open stalls because of it.

There's $5K lease incentive on EV6s plus dealers are discounting them a few thousand. I was thinking about pulling the trigger on a EV6 GT with the lease incentive + discount but I'm out of state most of May and Kia may offer $7500 on leases like Hyundai in May/June.

At the core the Mach-E GT PE is a power hungry pig that barely gets 230 miles of the highway. EV6 GT owners can get 230 miles with mixed city/highway drive. Of course, in reality it probably does sub-200 miles on the highway (like my GT PE only did 230 miles on the highway)

The bucket seats of the GT PE and EV6 GT are both great. I miss those in my Mach-E and Ioniq 5 Limited (my filler EV).

I prefer the suspension of the EV6 GT a little more than the Mach-E GT PE. Unbridled with Magneride is great but not on the streets. It's too firm. And the other two modes are a bouncy mess.

The stereo systems of the Mach-E and EV6 are just.... meeeeeh. Really just mediocre. Sub-par compared to Tesla and BMW.

The whole GT mode of the EV6 turned me off. You need to pre-warm the battery to get max performance ("Maximum Power Output" - https://www.kia.com/content/dam/kia2/in/en/content/ev6-manual/topics/chapter6_12.html) and the button only boosts performance a short period of time.

My head tells me the M3P is a better overall performance car but I don't want another Tesla. I'm still looking at an EV6 GT or i4 M50 or Ioniq 5 N. I autocrossed the Ioniq 5 Limited and it was a pig.

I’ve been saying this all along. I don’t understand the excitement for the EV6 GT.

The M3P seems to offer the same type of car, better performance, a lower price and it’s been readily available for years now.

Why do EV manufacturers make it so hard to get all the advertised horsepower?

I hate the 5 sec limit, but at least it’s “always active” in terms of just flooring the car and getting full power if it’s available.

I have zero desire to go into a settings screen to turn it on, then hit another button on the steering wheel.

The only “button” should be pressed with your right foot.
