I believe there was someone on this forum who had their car stolen and the thief just did a reset on sync. You can use the FordPass app to track the location of your Mach-E. I think they would probably have to be smart enough to do some sort of reset in the vehicle settings to disable your FordPass access.
Also, the Mach-E isn't going to be hot wired, and there is a tilt alarm that would go off if they tried to somehow drag it onto a flatbed. Unless they get your keys, a Mach-E would be really tough to steal.
This was in the local news just the other day. What are you going to do with the info if your car is stolen? How fast will police respond to report that you found your own car?
It would still look better than that Shelby Mach-E concept.Who wants to be the guinea pig who cuts a hole in their hood and mounts this in their frunk? Then go into the Ford service department and say that they’re having problems with their engine? ?
For $400 they could at least paint the damn thing. No way am I buying that.To make you feel better, you might want to get one of these!

Does disabling the speakers prevent thieves from finding it? Can't they use precision tracking?I have multiple in my cars with the speakers disabled.
Highly recommended!
Which android version of an airtag are you using? Does it work as well as an airtag?I believe there was someone on this forum who had their car stolen and the thief just did a reset on sync.
I think there might have even been an issue where Ford wouldn't disclose the location (the car would no longer be linked to you but obviously it's still pinging the mothership).
I popped the android version of an air tag under a trim panel in our car.
Unless your hidden airtag is just in the glovebox, there is no way anyone is finding it... especially quickly.I assume you haven't seen the hundreds of stories where people place air tags on cars to stalk wives, exes, strangers?
This gave way to Apple modifying air tags so that they issue an alert for air tags that aren't with the owner. So, if a car thief takes the car and they have an iPhone it will alert them that there's an air tag following them. They would be on to it quickly.
That could be a good thing if they just abandon the car, but it could also just make them search for it and throw it out.
SAMSUNG Galaxy SmartTag. Based on what I've read, it works at least as well as the airtag.Which android version of an airtag are you using? Does it work as well as an airtag?
