Need to get my first 10,000 mile tire rotation service done. Looking to get started with the service department that has well trained EV techs. Any recommendations for the bay area?

Ford Store Morgan Hill has a good service dept. They sell a ton of EV's and hybrids.

DK where you are in the Bay Area but I’ve had generally good experiences with Sunnyvale Ford including my 10k checkup. I didn’t need tire rotation however.

I need a recommendation too. I want to try a different service center than the one I took Erica to the last two, tire rotation /inspection.

Less volume.

I've got to say that I have been less than impressed with The Ford Store Morgan Hill's service department - at least their service advisors. Granted, I haven't had many issues, just had the windshield recall (which they had someone in San Jose do - they had the car for over a week, I did get a loaner) and the 10k service. But the communication from the service advisors was abysmal and both times I didn't get the vehicle back when promised.

Ahh, that's a bummer. My experience has been good. They are very busy these days though. FWIW, they told me it would be a couple weeks before they could look at the HVBJB issue, but had it back to me in 8 days.

Walnut Creek Ford has been fantastic for me. 15k miles in, visited for service and the odd fix. They do good work, look out for your interests, and they don’t blow smoke.

I bought my car and I am taking it to The Ford Store in Morgan Hill. On the good side, they replaced my HVBJB in about 5 days. They like to text message you to communicate, which seemed to be good. I asked them not to wash my car, and they left it alone. I believe they do not manually wash it but use a automatic brush type wash. NO, WAY!! On the bad side, I asked the adviser twice if they could charge my car, even just a little to ensure I was not riding on empty, on my way home. Failed to do that, but I am going to given them this one, this time. Next time, maybe not.

I do think that most dealers are generally ok. They all fail and are lacking in some way, shape or form. They excell some days and tank other days. One person has a great experiences and another hates them. A good example of that later point is Sunnyvale Ford. Mach-N-Cheese like them and I had two negative (previous car) experience.

My suggestion is to pick a dealer, hope for the best and expect the worst. If they really irritate you, move on to the next. Good luck.

I hear that Walnut Creek is good in the East Bay and if you’re in the Northern Peninsula Serramonte is good (never been to either myself). ?‍♂?

Glad your friend left to start a better dealership. Being at The Dealer Group Who Shall Not Be Named must have sucked for him. ??

Took my Mach E there to try to resolve my SYNC screen freezing randomly on startup. One of the service advisors didn't know what FDRS is while reading from the tech's notes about "FDRS reset performed"...

Now the techs claim my APIM is locked out (but why? I haven't touched the car myself) requiring a whole APIM replacement (which may solve my SYNC issue, but still it sounds like they locked it out by accident). But at least the new advisor I have (Anderson) seems more competent regarding EVs.

I recall that the APIM has issues with being able to be flashed if it fails. I think @Mach-Lee told me more about that at some point. I don't know about other service advisors in Sunnyvale Ford, but Anderson is good and knows about the Mach-E and has decent communications skills.

You can search around here on the forum -- others have had to have their APIM changed out, and it doesn't sound like a pleasant wait. I think there might be some issues with OTAs also, if the software on the APIM is an unexpected version out of sequence with the rest of your module software.

Thankfully the wait times are resolved. They have it already.

Yes i am sadly aware of the issues after update... Not looking forward to this experience.
