Ouch $79 for 1 item.
What's the difference from these cheaper once I have. Great fit and look so far.
Hi Terrance, both of them are similar and better looking than the OEM chrome knobs for sure. These are the differences as I see it. The AOSK covers are electroplated zinc opposed to the 5SPURS anodized aluminum. I don't really think there is much of a difference in the metals used but the appearance is very noticeable. The electroplated covers look like they have a thick coat of gloss paint on them compared to the anodized covers that look as if the metal is actually colored and has a nice satin sheen. They have a more detailed, expensive look to them. The 5SPURS covers are an exact replica in design of the Ford GT supercar where as the AOSK are similar but a different design. 5SPURS has a headlamp knob cover and start button overlay to match the volume and gear shift knob covers where as at this time, AOSK does not. Some of the colors that 5SPURS offers are color matched to the exterior of the car and they have a special copper/bronze color that matches the interior trim of the Mach-E GT. The AOSK covers are easier to install and remove and are less expensive so for some people it makes them a better value.

Just talked to Kevin and these along with many more start buttons are shipping out Monday. John, yours is the copper one. ?

These look cool. I’m getting a Cyber Orange GT so thought the orange pieces would complement well. THEN I saw the photos here with bronze, and in this post, copper!! Since I’ll have the interior with “copper stitching/piping” these would be a no brainer for me. So is “bronze” on the website the same as “copper” used here, or are they different color selections? TIA.

edit: never mind, read back a few pages and saw that “copper” and “bronze” are the same color selection.

Thought I would post a short tutorial on how to apply the 3M adhesive rings to secure the 5 SPURS dial covers. They are light and sticky so care should be taken during the install.
  1. Check if you have the correct ring by lining it over the factory knob you intend to install it on.
  2. Find the small tab and start to separate the two sides using your fingernail or a fine edge.
  3. Peel the unmarked side of the ring first. The other side with 3M markings has the adhesive attached.
  4. Place the adhesive ring with the exposed side down and over the top rim of the factory dial.
  5. Use your finger to gently press down all around the ring.
  6. Peel the backing off to expose the other side of the adhesive
  7. Place the 5 SPURS Dial over the factory dial

Notes:
  • The rings contain a double sided adhesive. It is quite sticky so if you happen to only attach part of the adhesive because some got stuck to your fingernail or tweezers, the cover will still most likely adhere to the Dial perfectly fine.
  • The adhesive is clear and can be hard to spot if you are not paying careful attention.
  • If you are slightly off center when applying the adhesive ring, it shouldn't matter since the cover will most likely hide it. If you mess up and are way off, remove the adhesive with alcohol and start over. Kevin supplies extra rings in the kit but if you need more, feel free to contact me and I will send you some (free).
  • The rings are specially cut for their respective Dials and will not work if you interchange them. Before starting the install, it is recommended to place the ring over the factory dial to double check if they both line up.
Kevin usually supplies a few 3M adhesive rings for each cover. If you need more, DM me your address and I will send you some for free.

May I suggest to a MOD that this post be stickied at the beginning of the thread? :)

@markboris , could you advise if there are any special 'tricks' to install the starter button? It appears to come with the same type of adhesive as the dials, but want to be sure I do this once and do it right.

Just wondering what orders he's gotten to. I'm #173 and still waiting for my start button. My order hasn't changed status either. Love my knobs, just want to complete the set!

There is really no special trick to do it. I basically lined up the little hole over the LED in the OEM button and made sure it looked straight and pressed it on. Seemed to be perfect the first time. The overlay is slightly larger than the OEM button so that the least amount of silver can show around it while not interfering with the action of the button. Here is mine.

These sure did take a long time but all the compliments I’ve gotten on them have been very positive.
