This SSM has been replaced by CSP 23P08. Mention that instead.

SSM 51727 2021-2023 Mustang Mach-E - False Alarm Activation And/Or Warning Message In The FordPass Application - Built On Or Before 21-Apr-2023

Some 2021-2023 Mustang Mach-E vehicles built on or before 21-Apr-2023 may exhibit a false alarm activation and/or warning message in the FordPass application when the doors are locked. This may be due to the software in the door latch control module E (DCME), door latch control module F (DCMF), door latch control module G (DCMG) and/or door latch control module H (DCMH). To correct the condition, download and run the door control module software update application for each module one at a time using the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS). For claiming, use causal part 58219A65 and applicable labor times in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.

----End SSM----

If you get false car alarm activations and there is not a moth or mouse in your car, your door latch modules probably need updating. Faulty software can cause random alarm activation.

Appreciate you keeping us updated on these. I'm taking mine in on Monday for this issue and I'm hoping that giving them the SSM number will expedite the process.

Would this resolve the alarm going off on BC Ferries (or any vehicle ferry for this matter)?

On the Ferry, you need to turn the alarm motion sensors off. You should get this prompt when turning off the vehicle.

When I turn the motion sensors off, it doesn't work and still goes off. This has been identified in previous threads.

23-PU0314-DCM-LAT is a door latch module update to prevent false alarms.

(DCME, DCMF, DCMG, DCMH updated to - AM)
In case anyone missed it from the other thread, the door latch module update is going out OTA. I got it in my 23 today.

And after the update yesterday, I had no false alarms last night after several weeks of multiple false alarms every night.
