sorry, but no. regular users have had 4.2.3 for over 3 months now. I don't need to be on the bleeding edge, I just want stable updates when other normal users get them.
You sure that other people with the same model and year and not EA got this 3 months ago?

I did, but I’m a 2021 GTPE and in early access.

If you don’t have a regular update either your car is stuck and needs a trip to the dealer…… or they didn’t roll that one out to your particular model and year yet.

For example, the non-EA 2023 models just got it this week based on the posts here.

why should it matter?

my car is fine. the updates are not stuck, they are just not getting pushed to my car.

Because the cars and trims are different and have different software.

So they push the updates as they’re available.

Would you prefer that no one got it until June so that it’s fair and everyone gets it at the same (later) date?

You’re assuming you’re getting the update “late.” But it sounds like you got it on time (along with other people with the same year and model).

They do these things in batches because it’s the fastest way to release updates.

then they should name and classify them accordingly to set proper expectations.

I would prefer them release software like Tesla, which for some reason is not as hampered by such things.

You sure they aren’t hampered by such things?

If Tesla releases the updates all at the same time, then everyone is getting the updates later. How do I know this? Because it takes longer to make all the updates for all the models and have them all ready at the same time than to release them as you make them (unless you’re last in line of course).

It’s like 50 people ordering a steak at a restaurant at the same time. They could either bring everyone’s steak in 50 minutes when they’re all ready or a steak every minute.

Sounds like you’re just unhappy you got the last steak 50 minutes later while watching 49 people eat before you.

But if you feel neglected by having your particular model having to wait a few months for a wifi update……… ask the 2021 job 1 guys about their FRUNK BUTTON. ?

OR they simply have enough software engineers to work each variation in parallel.

OR they could get more grill cooks.

you make that sounds like it's unreasonable. why should I be last?

so... now you agree with me? Ford clearly has software update issues, frunk button included.

Are you enrolled in EA? Sounds like you should.

My job 2 2021 select with comfort and tech is usually one of the first on this forum to get the updates posted. I am in EA.

Not in agreement, just pointing out that there’s no need to complain to us, we are all in the same boat.

But your solution just makes it worse for the other 49 people. Is that unreasonable? Actually yes!

You are right about one thing: it does make people upset. If no one gets a steak until 50 minutes passed, no one knows what they’re missing.

But in reality, people getting a steak in an average of 25 minutes is better than everyone at 50 minutes.

duly noted. feel free to ignore my complaining.

actually no! If you bothered to read my post, you'd understand that my solution is for ford to do all the updates fast by investing more in the process.

again, not what I'm proposing! please re-read. You are insisting on a false choice of "everyone last" or "one at a time". those are not the only options despite your insistence.

If you want everyone to get the updates at the same time, that’s an “everyone last,” situation.

Even hiring more employees may speed it up some, but everyone is still last.

Right now they are rolling updates out in batches and you’re suggesting an everyone last instead. What am I missing?

Also, your entire premise is not applicable here. This person who is also a 2022 Select owner, confirmed non-EA, received 4.2.5 in MAY.
