Let’s wait to hear them out, see what it’s actually about, see how it handles the climb or it actually in operation, and more specifics. I’m totally with the folks who suspect this is a suspension change along with cosmetics and little else, but we don’t know yet.

I'd be far more excited if this was a more extreme street performance mach-e that had like 700 hp and no power restrictions. I genuinely don't understand why multiple brands are trying to take lower, street performance oriented vehicle, and trying to turn them into off-roaders. I mentioned in another thread that it would be like buying a bronco or wrangler, slamming it until it was touching the ground, and put racing slicks on it.

Looks like it has the older Sync interface. I'm sure the production version won't, but it's interesting that this isn't running on the latest software....possibly indicative that there's changes they have to incorporate into the latest UI.

So yesterday Hyundai show of there incarnation of a performance ev , while today Ford trots outs a GT/PE with a different ride height and some minor cosmetic changes with ZERO mention of any updates to the drive train, steering & suspensions that would be needed for a rally edition.

I will give them points for at least using the classic oz rally wheel design, but coming from a company that has a very long history of offering road going rally specials I can't think of a worse example than this . What wasted opportunity, It would appear then yet once again marketing and engineering are on different pages.

I wonder if this their police interceptor Mach-E with some lipstick on it for some headlines. A beefier suspension with more places for lights.

I’ll never buy another Ford either, I paid full price for mine and they dropped the price twice so I’m out 11k, sure I got the tax credit, but I would have gotten it anyway after the decrease.

Would you be more pissed having paid 'full price' for a Tesla and 'suffered' though this years, and all the previous price drops?

Why would they need a beefier suspension? the thing only moves 2 inches? Beefier is going to be pretty much welded. Now had they added ANY travel whatsoever, we might be looking into part numbers

It looks like they did add travel.

And they would have to to have any chance on a rally course.

I think it’s neat that you’ll be able to add select rally track mapping to BlueCruise for just $1,250 per year (plus tax). Ford is practically printing money with this software model.

That's because the old version is more attractive for marketing photos than the new version with the Clipart buttons

From the version of this variant I saw back in February, I can now tell you that it looks pretty sweet in Cyber Orange.

Interesting given that Cyber Orange is isn't available anymore. Maybe a Rally-only version?
